Tiffany Case: And which do you prefer?
James Bond: Well, as long as the collars and cuffs match...
I would say a 36 waist. But if you have muscular thighs like I do I'd size up a bit and get them taken in. I have a 33" waist and the 52s were a tad big in the waist, but fit perfectly in the legs.

If you follow the link to the Acne site for the Wall St trousers, under the size table there's a link to the Fit Visualizer. It will ask you for the dimensions of a pair you already own, and then will contrast the silhouette.
I found this useful to get an idea of overall fit on the thighs and calves, rather than just using the waist measurement.
Thank you, my problem are the thighs, they are muscular and my waist size is 32 and I alwas have to take larger sizes and then get them taken in by the tailor
