Best PTS for me is probably TWINE, best part of the film. Moonraker would be perfect if it wasn't for Jaws flapping his arms about with that circus music.
Connery: GF (Do we every get much cooler?)
Lazenby: OHMSS (Brutal and a great sense of intrigue - great start to the film!)
Moore: TSWLM (Need I say more?)
Dalton: TLD (Great introduction to the film, and of course, a new Bond! Love the espionage vibe)
Brosnan: TWINE (I love all four of Brosnan's openings to this was really tough)
Craig: SP (Best part of the film, too, and one of the few times that Newman's score excites me)
All excellent choices, although I think I'd go with OP instead of TSWLM for Moore.

Yes that does spoil a somewhat brilliant PTS. Jaws was misused in that film altogether.
As a young chap ( but still incredibly good looking) back in 1979, all I can say is. I sat
Open mouthed at the PTS to Moonraker. Couldn't believe they did it ! An amazing piece
Of stunt work. -{

Yes it was a fantastic PTS and great stunt work. Just a shame about how it ended with Jaws flapping his arms and surviving that fall.
Often overlooked. This may sound silly but I never really enjoyed the TB PTS because the quality of the film was so poor. Since the restoration work and the BluRay - I've enjoyed TB more and the PTS even more-so.
Surprised that the FRWL PTS isn't mentioned more often. GF may have set the standard for the PTS formula, but the FRWL PTS is far superior in terms of atmosphere and story. That dark maze, the music, the tension, and the shock of the twist when the Bond masked is removed is all just so much fun. FRWL will always be my favorite PTS.
A close second for me is the CR PTS, for many of the same reasons. For me, a good PTS should be more about atmosphere than action. This is also why the OHMSS PTS is one of my favorites. Tho I do love a good action-packed PTS as well.
With GE, you get the best of both worlds. Plenty of action as well as atmosphere.
The MR PTS is a great bit of fun. It's such a unique idea, very well executed.
I like the FRWL PTS too. It's short, it sets up the tone of the film, and I can only imagine how shocking it must have been to see for the first time in 1963.
Come to think of it, the only PTS that I don't like would be the LTK. I just doesn't seem impressive to me.
Really? I think it's quite impressive. Sure, it's not to the same extent of OP, TSLWM, GE or MR, or as thrilling as GF, TND, TWINE or OHMSS, but the stunts are commendable.
LALD is still probably the weakest for me. That doesn't really impress me at all.
Film: Tomorrow Never Dies | Girl: Teresa di Vicenzo | Villain: Max Zorin | Car: Aston Martin Volante | Novel: You Only Live Twice | Bond: Sir Sean Connery
That's really weird, I couldn't think of lald PTS at all, only a man being electrocuted through his ear phones ( maybe apples new phone issue) so it can't be particularly memorable to me, I enjoy the film but the PTS is certainly no classic.
I've always liked TB's PTS, the rocket pack, the Aston, the badly edited but hugely enjoyable fight, but then again I love that film.
I also like qos PTS, it's just a shame it ends with that bloody song, guitar riff just fine, the rest of it God awful
I do like the brevity of the FRWL PTS, but I can't look past the Connery "double" and mask issue, even the sped-up removal of it.
What is the "issue" that you are referring to exactly?
Well, it's Connery who is playing the impersonation of Bond and then the dead Bond is clearly someone else wearing a poorly made Connery mask...
I don't see that really as an issue. It's merely a matter of technology of the time not being quite up to the standards necessary to completely pull of the full illusion. But the point still comes across and everything else in the scene holds up well, so I'm willing to suspend my disbelief and fill in the visual blanks of the mask on the imposter not looking completely convincing for the half second it's on screen.
The lighting does help to hide the Connery mask. It's just one of those things from the Connery films that are a bit silly an unrealistic. Like, how plastic surgery can apparently make people look IDENTICAL in TB and DAF. Pretty sure not even plastic surgeons of today could do that!
Interesting to point out that the mask reveal thing, despite being done long before in Bond, is considered a Mission Impossible thing. But, it has become a trademark and icon of that franchise, and it's used well, so I'm not complaining.
The hands down top 3 for me are SP, TSWLM, and GE.
I would agree with your list. -{
TLD had a strong introduction for Dalton's Bond and would put that one up there as well. I feel like Craig has a particular strength in his Pre-titles, with CR, SF, and SP being particulary special, and even QOS has a pretty exciting car-chase, which needs some love.

The PTS in TSWLM wasn't too shabby either, mind.
I've always enjoyed the PTS from TLD as it's such a good introduction for Dalton.

That's almost good enough ;%

SPECTRE is grand and obviously crazy money
Casino Royale must of been peanuts but had a powerful impact on me!!
Damn right

While it's clear they did it that way, I never thought that could be an issue.
You could think about it this way: the mask got messed up during the strangulation.
I don't see that really as an issue. It's merely a matter of technology of the time not being quite up to the standards necessary to completely pull of the full illusion. On that note, the worst ones (which I cannot even stand) would be DAF and DAD.
