Skyfall helicopter model on sale. £8!

Hi guys!
Was in the The Works today and found a stack of the helicopter models from Skyfall reduced down to £8!

Jut thought I'd let you know. I paid full price for mine originally around £18.
It's a great model. I have mine on display in 007 cabinet.

Chris is right though - I saw one in Model Zone, (a now discontinued model shop chain.)
The helicopter is a beautiful replica, and either on its own or part of a larger set up makes a lovely display piece.
As a collectable, the presentation box is not bad too! I'm mildly surprised they are letting them go that cheap?

Your right TB2 the helicopters don't seem to be on their website. Not sure if you have The Works in the USA David?

Also up until recently The Works had the James Bond lobby card sets. I picked up the Moonraker set last month in Manchester and my brother just picked me up YOLT and Thunderball on his travels.

I got my original helicopter form Model zone. Model zone was awesome... if expensive (probably why they closed down).

The Works always seems to be good for Bond items. I popped into my local one the other day and they had loads of 007 goodies - 50th anniversary poster book, Roger Moore's Bond on Bond book, A Brief Guide to 007 book, the aforementioned Skyfall helicopter and even some of the Bond Reloaded audiobooks and all at discounted prices, always a help for an eager Bond fan!

Has anyone used The great gear store .com, as they have the helicopter at £9. Although
I've never ordered from them before, so don't know how reliable they are.

Looks like there are at least 2 different types of models for the AgustaWestland AW101 Helicopter. One is a 1:100 fully assembled diecast metal model, and the other is a 1:72 Italeri plastic model kit. The plastic model kit retails for more than the diecast model, and in my opinion, looks much better when assembled and painted (not to mention it's a bit larger). I'm assuming the diecast model is the one being offered up at a heavy discount now.

I was in a 'The Works' store today in meadowhell. They had the 1:100 diecast model for £6, no sight of the kit version.

£3.99! Bargain city!!!! You should see if they have any of the 007 lobby cards sets left. They were going for £2.99. My brother got me almost the full set the other week.
