This is the first Bond film I ever saw. I watched it on TV back in Hong Kong when I was a kid. I distinctly remember a scene where Bond was hanging from the rafters.
Another reason I love it was that it was partly filmed in Hong Kong, which is my former home town, and I've also been to the Peninsula Hotel where Bond first met Goodnight.
It may not be a great Bond film, but I still have a soft spot for it
Live And Let Die. Connery is my favorite Bond and I love the classic Connery films but for Live and Let Die which gets dumped in the middle of the Moore era its quite a great film. Moore looks really good in his first outing and if you weren't a Bond fan like we are I don't think you could tell he was 45 at the time he looks a lot better than Connery was at 41 in Diamonds. The plot can be a bit over the top with the whole Voodoo angle but I think it fits in well with the film. Another major factor in my answer is Jane Seymour as Solitaire. When I first saw Live and let die when I was 10 when it was on TV one Saturday night I immediate thought Solitaire was the best looking Bond girl out of all the Bond girls I had seen at that time and 11 years later that still holds true to this day.
Mine are Tomorrow Never Dies and A View to a Kill.
TND because it was the first Bond movie I saw in Theaters and in general.
AVTAK because it was the first Moore film I saw and something about it always appealed to me. Might have been Christopher Walken's performance.
I have TWINE and DAD pretty far down on my rankings, but I still have a soft spot because they were my childhood and how excited I was going to the theater for the films.
I think The Man with the Golden Gun and Quantum of Solace will be the two that I have the softest spot for. I know The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill don't get as much love as I'd like, but they are generally well regarded now whereas QoS and TMwtGG are both less appreciated by many people. However, of the two I'd probably say QoS... every time I watch it it goes up a notch and it might eventually become my favourite Bond film somehow
Top Ten Bond - 10:Goldfinger 9:Thunderball 8:The Spy who Loved Me 7:For Your Eyes Only 6: Casino Royale 5:The Man with the Golden Gun 4:Quantum of Solace 3:Licence to Kill 2:Goldeneye 1:The Living Daylights
