Is there a way to enlarge these images straight from your iPhone - or do you need a host site ?
I am always uploading these images onto an hosting service.
But if someone is using the forum function, he can click onto the thumbnail, find the url and copy&paste it.
Thjat's what I am doing when I am enlarging for others.
Ok, thanks....I just upload pics from my iPhone using the forum function...
The LE's are just a reflection of what will be seen on the screen.
I was not aware that we've seen this
In QoS
And this
In SF
And I have stated the before as well. The above watches were NOT tied to any movie.
From the Omega site:
THE JAMES BOND COLLECTOR'S PIECE (2008)
Released at the same time as the movie Quantum of Solace, the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Collector’s Piece was designed to celebrate both the 007 pedigree and Bond’s on-going relationship with OMEGA watches, rather than the specific film release, which gives it a timeless quality"
I think what Higgins generally means is that they have been churning out LE Seamaster Pros for a while now but they have not been on his wrist since Casino Royale.

I totally understand that, but as I said above they were not tied to a specific movie. All the LE's from the movies had been based upon screen used.
Anyway.. the new Vintage Seamaster (as I like to call it ) will look sweet on a NATO strap. For me it works better than the Gauss on a NATO. So hopefully your source is correct.

So following this, the blue Ltd. AT may be a refernce to the model in SF and will not show up at all in Spectre?

Since Omega is calling the Blue AT the Spectre edition, I think it's pretty clear. I feel like I'm in the Monty Python argument sketch
Nothing wrong with Monty Python, but the LE AT was not marketed as the Spectre Edition.
I can't find the press text, but the farthest was JBL with "in anticipation of the upcoming Spectre"
Don't mean to upset you or splitting hairs, but we have seen Ltd. Editions during the production of new movies which have never showed up so my remarks have been legitimate.
If it's really officially named Spectre, I'll take the p*ss and admid that I've been probably wrong

I'd be suprised if the (standard) Gauss was not featured given the special edition, otherwise they would just issue a standard SF AT with 007 'graphics'?? I think the Gauss feature of the watch may have something to do with the script and perhaps be issued by Q? Just a thought..
I must be the only one wishing they'd move beyond Omega. I have no intention of buying one and would rather see something different and more original. Even the old Omega's from the Brosnan movies are all over eBay and haven't increased in value.......
This is where we leave you Mr. Bond. (Pilot, Apollo Airlines)

Although I like the Omega brand, they don't do themselves any favours in competing with their main challenge - Rolex, by churning out loads of Limited Editions (which aren't very limited), and constantly changing their watches almost every year. They might be making loads of money, and be very successful, but they aren't creating the aspirational desirability that Rolex do, and they aren't securing their customers investment in the brand, which long term, will be a major disadvantage and lose customer loyalty due to the devaluation of their watch.

Totally agree, but with the millions they pay to be seen on screen it seems they are happy (and feel safe) in their marketing strategy.

True. They may find that this strategy works better for them. Maybe they've seen the sales of their older models decline, which would necessitate a revamp. They may find the need to update their products, like clothing and car companies. Is Bristol still selling the Blenheim?
1. Copying Rolex in terms of continuity and product life won't be a good thing. You simply can't beat the original here!
They (Omega) are dammed to make things differently.
2. We all should be very grateful that Omega plug relatively discreetly their product in the movies and sell the watches successfully thereafter - no matter if we like the watches and Editions or not.
At the end they contribute heavily to the movie budget and EON won't be able to replace such a sponsor easily. In the end the paid money shows up in the movie and not so much in the producer's pockets.
Saying that - I still like the black variant of the 15000 Gauss and hope that we'll see it on the black/grey NATO in the movie and not the blue dial version.
Will I buy it then? Most certainly not - I stick with Rolex.

I agree about Omega churning out too many models. No model really has a chance to become established or iconic as it is generally discarded after a few years. Its a bit of a minefield looking at all the tons of diff reference models.

I have an internal document calling it the "Spectre edition" They also mention a potential Villains edition, so this may be the year that Omega goes crazy with special editions. I bought the AT a year and 1.5 ago, in 41.5 mm as it fits my wrist better than the Skyfall AT. It's sad that my "new" watch is already obsolete.
So many variations of the same model watch and limited editions just cheapens the brand in my opinion. Surely, with so many models on the market the future resale values will falter?
The Submariner still commands a huge second hand price a) because it's a quality watch and b) because of it's kudos and status. The Omega equivalent in this regard is the Speedmaster which they don't really mess with. I would prefer it if they treated the Seamaster similarly instead of messing with it.
The talk of a villain's AT worries me. Whatever next..
This is my first time visiting this thread. It bobbles the mind how popular this topic is. I'm not judging, just wondering ?:) )
I have always felt that for us gents that don't tend to wear much if anything in the way of jewellery, the watch serves that purpose. As well as being there to tell the time/date/stopwatch etc. it is part of our personal decoration, an opportunity to display personality.
This certainly seems to be the case for many of the fans here, and is also I believe very much the case for James Bond.
Perhaps that helps lend some reason to the popularity of this very interesting and educational (for me) thread.

I think a watch is a mans most personal possession, we wear it 24/7 (those that don't take them off to bed). Apart from a wedding ring, there isn't another personal possession that can come closer.
