Fresh from the dealer, they are taking deposits. But official image of the case back.
Well, that saved me some serious money....
Likewise! Been looking at a planet ocean, then this surfaced so was holding out for some more details but now I've seen it, I'm sticking with the plant ocean.

Ditto. Time to get Omega to fit their NATO to the QoS PO I have :007)
Here are my thoughts on Spectre Seamaster Limited Edition. Though the Bond nut in me says, I want this watch, the logical side of being a watch lover has a lot of reservations. To sum it up, This watch seems half baked.
Example:
1. The bezel is a 12 hour, so more like a GMT rather than a diver, but does not have GMT hand. Granted you can still use the second hand for this purpose but a proper GMT hand would have made more sense. I use the uni directional dive bezel a lot on the daily, from parking meters to grilling a steak.
2. The lollipop seconds hand does not flow with the design of the dial. It works on a submariner cause of the combination of circular markers and rectangular, but on this watch dial with sharp edges as markers, the circular dot of the seconds hand seems out of place.
3. Numerals, either have it or don't. The reissue has 12, 3, 6, and 9 which framed the dial nicely, now you have these odd 3 digits, of 9, 3, 6. 12 has been replaced by the logo, cause branding is more important that actually telling time. It's like driving a car on a donut wheel, it will move but looks weird.
4. We have seen some of the most tacky designs from the Omega's line of James Bond Limited editions. Would it have killed them to put the Spectre logo on the case back instead of writing Spectre? I thought we would see the Octapus on the back, and actually welcomed it, since we have gun barrel's, bullet's, gun hand grips and court of arms.
Just my thoughts, I was super excited about getting the reissue thinking this was the watch seen in Spectre. And thought it was a nice nod to the classic Rolex on a NATO from days of old. This was a failed opportunity by Omega to contribute the Bond wristwatch tradition.
Stefan, why should it have a GMT hand if it doesn't have a 24-hour bezel? I don't like the 0-11 bezel, but it's supposed to make sense in the context of the film.
At "Spectre" on the back is the Spectre logo, written in Neutraface. But yes, the octopus would have been cool. I do love the horse on the back of my Omega.
"You will often hear this type of bezel/confirguration called a poor man's GMT. It keeps a second time zone in a 12 hour fashion, just like the normal hour hand. You have to keep track in you head whether the second zone is AM or PM. If you are in Germany during summer time, for example, and it is 12:00 noon, then the bezel would be set at 10:00 GMT."

I'm so pleased I'm not alone in being very disappointed by this watch - I was sure I was going to buy one or the other of the limited editions for Spectre as my wedding present to myself, but I'm not so sure at all now.
This latest limited edition is very poor - no effort at all put in by Omega, but yet they're putting a premium price on it and presumably sticking it in a fancy box with a strap or two extra and a loupe probably.
I'm now in the position of trying to source a Skyfall PO, as I prefer that over the current offerings!
Received information today regarding the SM300 LE....
It will indeed come in a presentation case similar in style to the AT, but black satin lacquered with a smooth black leather interior with no stitching showing. The opening button is the Omega symbol, above which is a combination code - set to 007. The watch is placed centrally, presented with the Nato strap. There is a larger, when compared to the AT presentation, flap at the rear under which can be found a brushed stainless steel strap, black loupe (with red contrast Omega) and a black strap change tool. The SS strap has an engraved 007 logo under the Omega symbol and name on the clasp, which is the newer shorter version. The inside back of the case has the spectre (word) logo and 007 underneath.
The RRP is £4785
Just been looking through the DuJour interview with DC and in one of the photos accompanying the article, it appears he's wearing the limited edition Aqua Terra:
That certainly looks like the Bond family crest around the 7 marker, not just the usual hand arrangement wouldn't you say?
The CR PO LE is pretty subtle, 007 on the second hand...
CR SM is obviously less SA with the gun barrel face... But its my daily wear...
My QoS PO is my fave but do wear it for nights out... Marking on face is so discreet it doesnt show unless u tilt it at a certain angle.
SF AT is SA... And wear with smart attire.
Undecided re Spectre LE, I think the bezel puts me off personally. Will pop and see my local AD as they keep them for me. And decide between that or something for the impending family addition !
Re LE or SA, each to their own, love them or hate them, personal choice. I do class myself as a collector / fan, but wear / use everything I buy so I get maximum pleasure from my Bond fetish
This one is pretty unique as it kind of gives uou the option of
SA (on NATO)
LE (on the 007 branded logo)
I guess this watch will be unique for the DC era as its actually used in the film not just a time piece
Very true Paul
Guess for me, as with the others, do I like it, will only know when its in hand ! Really didnt like the SF LE, hwnce went for AT. And it was v diff to all the others I have. Thus one is diff again (prov put my CR PO back on the rubber, which I plan to)...
