I've got a problem with my tablet. It's brand new i've had it since christmas. However it won't charge, i haven't dropped it or anything like that. I'm really confused as this is the first time it has happened.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks :)

    HGuts,

I don't have a tablet now, but a while ago I did buy an Archos WiFi device to give my phone a break! Seemed fine and I was happily surfing on it for a week, then when I came to charge it, it just died. The battery had depleted through normal use. Like you, no drops, spills or bumps, but it just would not respond. Tablet one min, slab of glass metal and plastic the next.
I contacted the retailer in my case, and sent the device back to them as within warranty. After they checked it I got a full refund. The speed at which they did this was good too.

Assuming no one else has a solution on here, my advice is to talk to the retailer you bought the device from, and see what the replacement / repair / refund options are, depending on the warranty. Also (stating the obvious I apologise,) change all your internet related passwords for piece of mind!

As TB2 says return it to the seller, for a replacement or refund. I have a seven inch Tab 3, which fits
easily into an inside jacket pocket, and love it. So far no problems as yet and I've had it for around
a year. So it might just be a bad one. :#

The receipt is missing as well. I still have the carrier bag from the retailer it was bought from. Not sure as this would count as proof of purchase as any bag could be used.

You are right re the bag its not any good.

However, how did you pay for the tablet? If you did not use cash, the transaction should show on your card or bank account statements. That could work as proof of purchase and be cross referenced with the retailers records.
Once you pin that down, you can contact them to see what they say.

It would've been paid with cash

Another alternative would be to go to a Samsung shop and get a replacement charger.

Would the person who bought it still have the receipt, as I keep the ones from the pressies I buy
just in case there is a fault, or the ungrateful git doesn't like it. I know it's a long shot but might be
    worth asking.

Bad luck, hopefully Samsung will stand by their product and it's only a minor fault. Hope it
    works out for you. -{

Turns out my charger is working after all. I had forgotten to turn the switch on at the mains. :)) least it's working now. :)

You are a bigger man than me, I'd of pretended there was indeed a fault in the charger
    which they changed. :))

After all that, you forgot the switch when you plugged it in?! :))

That's hilarious! Incidentally, Bendytoys Thanks for helping out.

Just have to remember to charge it regularly instead of letting the tablet run dead. Cheers for your advice Bondtoys and everyone else who has replied.
