    Are you going to be tweaking the body length sizing at all?

    Does it look too long?

    No it's slightly too short. I think the length needs an extra 1" on the front and back.

    Hmmm, pics of the BR dont seem any longer to me?
  • TheExit148TheExit148 Posts: 563MI6 Agent
    Sorry I was referring to the QoS Harrington jacket, not the peacoat.

    Ohhh. :))

    Ok, sorry. Having all the jackets in one big Royale thread can get confusing.

    I think the collar is the most important piece here to be as accurate as poss

    Height of the rear collar on the BR is very low, made to be worn up, where as most peacoats have a long protective rear collar. And of course the leather tone... Even BR get there own ones wrong !

    Sure Dan will have it right when we get the final pics pre-release...

    Just to confuse this thread further I just recently got my Y3 Haiti jacket off another forum member and I couldn't be happier; not only is it really well constructed I could swear it was made for me, the fit is superb! (exactly the sizes Dan gives, just ignore your normal S,M,L size!)

    Can't wait for the rerun of harringtons! I was considering getting 2 and subjecting one of them to the daily rigours of rough and tumble life in the hope it will be a bit distressed to get the SA look during the final hotel assault. Now I've worn the Y3 for a while I'm not sure if i'd have to set about it with rocks and sandpaper. Can anyone from the original batch comment on durability?

    Its very well made, haven't put it through hardcore use (burning hotels / desert driving) tho. Sure it will stand up to it well. Wont people just think you're scruffy :))

    Great news! The SKYFALL Shanghai Peacoats are now available for purchase ($199USD) I must say, I think my manufacturer has produced his best work yet, they are beautifully made and an amazingly accurate representation of the original.

    Please be advised, that these coats are about half a size larger than my other jackets. This was intentional to accommodate an extra layer underneath. If you do not intend to wear an extra layer underneath, you may need to size down from my other jackets, depending on intended layering and the fit you are looking for. The chest measurement is 2cm larger than the Harrington/Haiti jackets and the shoulders are about half an inch broader. Please do take your time to consider this sizing difference and what you will be wearing under your peacoat before making your purchase.

    I am so pleased with how they have turned out, as I’m sure you will be.

    Shipping will be more expensive on these because they are more than double the weight of my previous jackets and are now in the 1-2kg category.

    Approximate shipping rates with tracking (7-10 business days) are as follows:

    United States $44.00USD
    United Kingdom & Europe $57.00USD
    New Zealand $32.90USD

    Please follow the direct link below and thank you for your ongoing support!!

    To all of you waiting for a reproduction of my ROYALE Harrington jacket, that should be underway as soon as enough peacoat sales come through to fund the harrington. (If you'd like a harrington... BUY A PEACOAT) :))

    All coats have now been quality checked an are ready for shipping.

    Looking forward to your comments!! -{

    Just letting you know guys, I only have 2 XS Extra Smalls left, due to them being about a half a size larger than my other jackets, the smaller sizes are really walking of the shelf. Thank you all for your support, I can't wait to see some feedback on this one, and I'm eager to see some pics of you guys, when you receive them.

    Seems like I got the last one in XS. I initally ordered a small like my Harrington but wasn't sure about the fit. When I heard only one XS was left I didn't dare missing out on this piece.
    Anyway, since I've not got one jacket in the mail I won't need I'm open for reserves on either the XS or the S size. I'm just looking to get my expenses covered which are $255. I'm in the EU so no taxes here.

    And by the way Daniel, perhaps it would be nice to know which size you are wearing in the pic and a chest measurement for guideline (perhaps I've just missed this information). -{

    You did indeed get the last XS, well done Jacob!! Okay so fit is a bit complicated, but if you bear with me while I break this down. I've been hitting the gym a bit so I am now a LARGE in my harrington jacket (Thankfully I kept a large for myself for this purpose), the pea coats are about half a size larger, which has put me into a medium pea coat. (My body chest measurement is currently 43") Just to confuse things a bit more the photos are taken of me wearing a SMALL. Why? Well look I can wedge myself into a small, for that Hollywood movie fit, but it's not comfortable. There are two reasons I decided to use the small for the pics, firstly it offered that tailored look through the waist and second, the sleeve length on the medium is too long for me. I have a larger chest for my height 5'10" (178cm), which usually means I need to get sleeves taken up. The medium pea coat is spot on for me in the chest and shoulders, but I will need the sleeves taken up. I could take the waist in, but probably won't bother with that. I love the fit of the medium for my 43" chest, but I know you guys really like your clothes tailored and thats what you want to see, is that tailored look. It is interesting to note at this point that Daniel Craig usually has 2 different size jackets/coats he wears when filming. If I'm not mistaken a slick medium Billy Reid pea coat for posing (non action) shots and a large (ie; more comfortable coat) for action shots. I think bottom line is, make sure you get the chest and shoulders right and everything else can be tailored... I even considered a large coat for my 43" chest if I was layering underneath, but I can still wear a thin layer under the medium, our winters are quite moderate here in Australia. Now I know all of that is a bit confusing, so if you need a second opinion on sizing please email me directly and I'll help you out the best I can.

    Daniel,

    Will there be any changes to the second run of the Harrington?

    Hi McQueen,

    Yes another run of harringtons will happen as soon as I've sold enough pea coats. Do you receive my email notifications? If not email me directly so I can add you to my notification list, so you are aware as soon as the harringtons hit the market.

    And... I'm really glad my sizing info helped, it was complicated to write let alone read!!

    What I was meant to ask, was if there were going to be any updates on this next run, such as the zipper. It seems that it wasn't as smooth as on the Y-3. Also the sleeve lengths were just a bit shorter than what was originally shown on the measurement chart.

    Being a knuckle dragger, I need all the extra sleeve length I can get! :)) And I am on your email list. Once this new run is ready, I will buy a size Large and sell my Medium from your first run.
  • SilverFingerSilverFinger Brisbane, AustraliaPosts: 281MI6 Agent
    Ah misread what you asked, apologies. Yes hopefully, I'll be doing my best to get an improved zipper (I'll stress the importance of this to my manufacturer) and bump the sleeve length up maybe 1/2 an inch. The other change will be black leather zip pullers to be more screen accurate.

    The Peacoat was a much tougher decision to pull the trigger on than the Harrington. With the stinking hot weather in Sydney currently it hurts to even even think of wearing a peacoat!

    The AUD tanking compared to the USD didn't help either BUT, Dan, your Harrington is/was such a great jacket I'm even thinking of getting a "backup" from the next run "just in case" something happens to the first. Everytime I wear it, my wife says its her favourite jacket of mine (which annoys me cause I've got a closet full of Aero leather jackets lol).

    If you have even gotten close to the quality of that with the Peacoat I'm sure its going to be fantastic.

    The final nail in the coffin was a quick internet search for the Billy Reid Peacoat which is just page after page of "it's amazing but sold out" and only 1 on eBay currently going for over $700....I know I'd kick myself if I missed out come the cooler weather.

    I'm sure I'll post back here in a few days when it arrives telling everyone not to miss out.

    If I didn't already have the Billy Reid, this would be what they call an instabuy! I've got both of Dans other jackets, some of the best replicas out there.

    Thank you gentlemen for your kind words, it means a lot that you have stuck with me as I produce these pieces. I will continue to produce my best offerings. I can’t guarantee they will be perfect, but please know that I spend a great many hours, to produce the best replica I can. If I did it for money, I would have chosen another business.

    I decided to snap a few more informal pics of the pea coat today. As mentioned I wedged myself into a Small pea coat for the official photos for that ‘Hollywood’ tailored look. Personally the medium is the right size for me in the chest and shoulders, but I may need to get the waist taken in a bit. I do have quite a broad build, which can be a problem and when I produce a replica I don’t want to exclude people from being able to wear it, so the fit is sort of between a slim and regular, rather than being an exclusive super slim sort of fit. This way at least you can have a little tailoring done, which lets be honest is a nice feeling knowing it was customised to fit you. Some specs for you....

    Your model for this piece (me) is:
    - 5’10” / 178cm
    - 196 lbs / 89kg
    - A body chest measurement of 43” / 109cm (more a 42” in a suit than a 44”)
    - And an ‘Athletic build’ (usually need the waist taken in)

    So here’s a few pics of me wearing my medium (In the middle of an Australian Summer) X-(

    Also bear in mind that I wouldn’t be able to do a lot of layering in this size, and I did even consider a large for the chest and shoulders. Sometimes being broad can be a curse as the large would look ridiculous on me without a heap of tailoring. The last image is me showing what a bit of inexpensive tailoring would look like on me. (Again if I offered that super slim fit that would exclude a lot of people from being able to wear my items)

    Hope this helps!! -{

    Dan I think it's time you moved into accessories (Skyfall tri-colour tie) and knitwear (QoS black cardigan)!!!

    What do you think?

    Would love someone with a strong eye for details to tackle these two items....

    I have Dan's Harrington and Y3 and think they are fantastic
