Dan, it does look fantastic - what are the sleeves/ back made from? Is it a wool blend or cotton blend?
Hi Dufus,
The jacket is a wool blend ribbed knit, it's what I would describe as a medium weight. As I understand it the jacket was originally designed to be worn as a middle layer with a heavier coat over the top, but our Bond is a trend setter wearing it as an outer layer.
Thank you everyone for all of your feedback, I never expected that this piece would have quite so much interest. I’ve actually been taken by surprise over the last couple of months with the sheer number of emails that have come through. I’m delighted at the response gentlemen, thank you for showing me what I do is valued, that means a lot. This is the fourth generation of this jacket, the first of which starts with me, behind a sewing machine capturing a design. I try not to think about the hours involved in that as weeks can and do easily roll by as it is constantly evolving. It will never be perfect, everything to me is a work in progress and I will always be trying to improve on whatever we produce and yes being very critical of my own products is a big part of that.
The originals are truly beautiful pieces of clothing, but I know by the personal emails I receive that the pieces I produce mean a great deal to a lot of people. I do what I can to put a little bit of Bond history in everyone’s hands for a fair price. Thanks again for your contributions to this thread as all feedback is very welcome. Once I have received them I’ll be in touch with the sizing table to all who have expressed interest before they are officially listed.
I definitely have to, once again, echo the above sentiments in that you have done a fantastic job is allowing those of us for whom the TF or Dior products were simply not a reasonable acquisition - still get our hands on a brilliant piece of clothing at a genuinely unbelievable price... Others would have charged at least twice your prices.. You are very appreciated.. So very excited about getting BOTH as soon as ordering is up and going... Thanks so much for doing this !
Given what seems to be a growing fan bsse for your jackets etc, you maybe need to think of a loyalty card so those who have been with you from the start (ie have all your items) have preferential ordering!!!
Might skip my first jacket (as was fortunate enough to fund the TF) but very much in for the Dior!
I had skipped the peacoat, since I had just gotten the Billy Reid cotton peacoat, which is still unworn. The winter coats just don't get use where I am.
So if I get a new release it would be the midweight Solden. The heavy weight Dior looks great but may just live in the closet unused.
Dan great work! Would you mind sharing roughly your sizing? I am a small in your Solace jacket/48R Eu in Tom Ford Windsor. Would I be a small again for this lovely piece? Thanks again for your great work!

Thank you sir,
I haven't provided a sizing table as yet, but the intention is that most people should be in the same size as the harrington, although these will be a little slimmer being both a knit and for screen accurate fitting they should wear more fitted. The shoulders, sleeve and back length will match up approximately with the harrington, while the body will be a little slimmer. I'll have a thorough sizing table and guidance out before they are officially listed.
These new pics and me endlessly watching the Solden scenes of Spectre over and over again, plus the bonus I just got at work , has made me want to seal the deal on the Solden jacket for sure. I emailed you about getting an XS. Fantastic work man! My money is ready and waiting.

Dan.
Thanks Dan. usually shoulders are the issue for me as I am quite triangle. I think I will stick to a small then as the body of the harrington has room for me. Definitely looking forward to it, please keep up with your great work!
Got the chance to wear my Harrington 1.0 today while out running errands. A man on the street actually asked me how much I paid for it. ) ) )
I have had friends ask how much I paid for the JV or the Dunhill Layer Cake jackets, but having a stranger ask that was a first.
Just noticed today the top and bottom zipper slides on the Haiti are different. I know this was done on purpose, but does the original Y-3 also have this? Any owners of the Y-3 want to chime in?
I fear my three days of winter temperatures are over, but still looking forward to the Solden. SoldenMania™, it's not the real Tom Ford Solden but an incredible simulation. (I hope someone else here gets the reference.)
Just placed my order for an XS. This is my first Royale jacket and I am very excited! Would love to hear from anyone in the U.S. who has ordered from Dan before, regarding delivery time. Thanks again to Dan for making this jacket available for such a reasonable price -{
I've ordered three jackets from Dan (four with the Solden). From memory shipping to California was a week or so from ship date: one or two days internal Austrailia, a day in the air, two or three days in customs in Los Angeles, and a day or two via USPS. Weekends slow everything down more. Those in the midwest or the East can chime in on how long shipping takes to their regions.
Ironic ordering a winter jacket, it'll be 80F/27C tomorrow.
If someone wants to order me a small, I'd trade them for a Royale Harrington V2 in small, barely worn as bought a v3. V2 was the first release Dan did through his new website; had the longer arms and the updates.

I really look forward to receiving what I find the most interesting Bond item.

1. CR. 2. TSWLM. 3. LTK. 4. GF. 5. SF.

In an ideal world I'd be employed and done with school and able to get one of each.... A gift for a good finals result perhaps?
Thanks for the reply!
