Welcome to the forum.
The Royale V2 Solden fits true to size, the V1 fits small.
Good afternoon - I'd like to add my name to the list of those in search of a Royals V.2 Solden jacket in a size L, if anyone is thinking of selling- thanks
Doc
I'm interested in buying the latest version of the Royale Filmwear "QUANTUM Harrington Jacket " in a size M.
If someone is interested in selling one then please send me a PM.

I had to respond to that one Calvin, I remember this post well, right at the start of this thread back when I was an ebay seller... Come along way since then, now there's about a dozen sellers on ebay ripping my harrington photos (must be the good looking model) and probably because we're doing something right... Thanks for your support mate, it's certainly appreciated.
Just a quick note to say the SPECTRE Solden Jacket is now back in stock. These have turned out a treat and I think in terms of fit in particular we've finally got it sorted. There isn't any real design changes to speak of from the second version last year, but I wanted to post some pics of this current version as the pics up of on the storefront are still the V2. I may have to take some more storefront pics with better lighting, but hopefully these quick snaps give you a better idea of the colours.
There isn't an unlimited quantity of these ones so do have a good look at the sizing table before purchase!!
I wonder what sort of temperature this would be appropriate for? I lived in Europe for a year and have gone skiing throughout my youth but honestly my knowledge of winter weather ends there. Never have really had a need for winter fashion beyond the occasional functional clothing.

I have a V2 and have worn it in 30 F weather with no problem. Combined with a good layer underneath (like the NPeal tactical) and some gloves, it does a pretty good job of keeping out the chill. I would say the sweet spot is probably in the 45-55 F range.
“What is your occupation?”
“That’s not the sort of thing that looks good on a form."

Thanks! It pretty much wouldn't be wearable for me out here then. It gets to the 50s in the Winter but I think I'd just be forcing the issue. I guess I shouldn't be complaining about the weather )
50s are a sweet spot for my Casino Royale Leather Jacket so I think have that area taken care of.

The funny thing is with this one, I don't think it would be the sort of thing I would wear in the alps as Bond does in SPECTRE, honestly it's just not heavy enough. I believe I'm right in saying the original TF and the Moncler it is based on were intended as 'mid layers' which is why I mention that in the listing. This makes senses because of the fitted sleeves and wind breaker front if your outer layer were unzipped. The upside of this is, it is more wearable, most of the time for us... so you can still rock a bit of Bond without it being Baltic. Likewise, as mentioned above you can layer up a bit underneath if need be. On the whole though, it isn't too toastie that its not wearable a lot of the time.
Just my two cents, I've skied in both Italy and Austria with just a polo neck jumper on ( obviously ski trousers and boots too and gloves) and when stopping for lunch I've put on similar jackets to the solden. Obviously for less energetic activities in cold climates you need to layer up, but a decent Base Layer, sweater, solden jacket topped off with your lodge hoody style jacket would keep you warm in most cold climates most of are liable to be in.
I just got the Solden from the latest run. It is my first Royale purchase. You have got to be kidding me with this jacket. I am extremely satisfied with this. Daniel you have another loyal customer. Anybody on the fence with this one should pull the trigger.
My Solden jacket just arrived. I have to take my hat off to you, Dan. Your work is, as always, stunning. Every one of your pieces (I also own the Harrington and Haiti jackets, as well as the gorgeous Talamone Cardigan) is very special and I feel myself walking an inch taller whenever I’m wearing them. I can only imagine the number of hours you must have put in to get all the details just right. Your dedication is our good fortune, and it’s greatly appreciated.

my size medium arrived today. Thank you Dan. Another winner. Looking forward to your next project.
I’m really tempted to pick one up but can someone let me know if there is more filling in the front compartments. Previous ones seemed a bit flat.
If not, do you think you get get them filled with down by a tailor?

I have the second version of the Solden. It is more filled than the first release. Quite nice, very screen accurate.
Anyone know what import duties into the UK might be on a Solden Jacket coming from Australia? Will customs add any extra cost? First time I will have ordered.

Usually VAT at 20% of the declared price on the customs label + a postal service 'handling' fee (c£10)
With my luck I've ended up paying each time for all imported non-EU goods!
Out of interest I'm a 38/39 natural chest. So would I be a 'Small'?

I'm in the UK - I paid £17 and some change in duties to Royal Mail.
Hola. Somos maestros en año sabático… y nos ganamos la lotería.
Here are a couple pics of my V2 Solden which is I believe the same as the V3. It's been folded in a chest since last winter. Still, it's puffier than the Version 1.
I plan to buy a solden jacket but first i would have your advices concerning the size, here are m'y measures:
Full chest : 92
Full waist : 81
Sleeves : 58
Shoulders to shoulders : 47.5
I think about the small size, is the jacket have to be worn tight?
If some of you have pictures of themself wearing the jacket i would be grateful to see them!
The Royale does feel slightly lighter but the material is still of very good quality and the leather trim will age well after a bit of use. The lining on the Royale is also a nice bonus along with an inside pocket which I find useful for keeping wallet, phone etc...
Thanks again Dan for another great item (now makes three of your jackets this past few months for me). If you are thinking about getting this jacket I'd recommend getting it before they're gone (Do check the sizing charts carefully).
I'm not sure if I should get a BR or a Royale when Dan does another run.
I want the lightest option of the two. Where I live the temperature rarely goes below FP so the heavier it is the less versatile it would be. On the other hand, wool breathes quite well and the Royale does have a rayon lining so I wouldn't necessarily sweat less wearing the Royale.
Inside pocket is nice and something I usually expect when buying a jacket. I feel naked if I don't have a good, somewhat secure place to put my wallet and phone and it's really the only thing BR lacks.
Looking for a ROYALE Filmwear Talamone Shawl Collar Cardigan, size medium. Preferably in Europe, but the US would work as well. Feel free to send a PM!
I know this is an old thread, but I still want this jacket and it's not in production unfortunately. I'm in the US and wear US XL, but seems like a US XXL could work as well - if anyone is selling please contact me - thanks
