Thinking about this Scene, do you think they could of pulled it off a bit better (When Triple X mentions Tracy) ?

    I liked the way it was done. A nice nod to the past but the point isn't laboured. Moore's reaction is nicely understated giving 007 a brief bit of humanity. Proof again that Mr. Moore's very under-rated.

    +1 I too thought it was a great little scene.

    Yes, I agree that Moore had a few nice dramatic moments and this scene is one of them.

    I remember reading once that, .....
    " Connery's films were serious with moments of humor, while Moore's were humorous with
    moments of seriousness ". :D

    Correct, and I very much prefer the former.

    :)) I think the only Bond who doesn't get any flack is Connery. :D poor old Dalton, Moore, Brosnan
    Craig and even Lazenby all get abuse.

    Yes even Fleming came to realize as they said in YOLT, " Sean Connery IS James Bond " :))

    Will any other actor playing Bond ever top Connery? IMO I doubt it....

    I love this moment. One of my favorite parts of the film, which is in my top 5.

    Moore delivers the line perfectly and does a great job of selling it. The moment of humor and sizing each other up was over with the mention of the touchy subject. Not to take anything away from Curd Jurgens, but if the villain was Blofeld, I think TSWLM would be at the top of many more Bond lists.

    Moore delivers that line perfectly, as well as pretty much every other line in the film.

    I'm glad Blofeld was kept to a minimum in the post-Connery Bonds.

    @AlphaOmegaSin

    The scene in the film was nicely done; I don't think it should be changed a bit. -{

    Great scene. TSWLM is a fine film, and this is one of the better Bond character moments in the series. The scripts in the Moore era didn't offer too many chances for Sir Roger to deliver this type of dialogue which is a bit of a shame really!
