Maybe the Mods could come up with a set of questions for different grades of fan knowledge.

As if we don't have enough to do....! 8-)

    Perhaps something like-

    NOVICE
    Name the first Bond book.

    APPRENTICE
What was Ian Fleming's middle name?

    STUDENT
Which director made more Bond movies than any other?

    EXPERT
Who was the first actor to play two different roles in two different Bond movies?

I'm sure we can come up with more categories.... guys?

Hope I'm not spoiling by answering.
First Bond book -Casino Royale. Fleming's middle name-Lancaster.
Prolific Bond Director-John Glen- 5 films in 1980s.
Two different roles actor - I would guess at Burt Kwouk who played Mr Ling in Goldfinger
and SPECTRE Bird 1 rocket controller in YOLT volcano control room.

Some more - who said in what film?-"Questions, questions all I get is questions!"

    What is Goldfinger's christian name?
What is the full name of The Man With The Golden Gun?
Which actor has appeared most often in the Bond films?

    Bleuville.

Film trivia - I love it!

First actor in two different roles - Any of the following: Anthony Dawson (Prof Dent/DN + Blofeld/FRWL), Milton Reid (Guard/DN + Sandor/TSWLM) or Anthony Chinn (Technician/DN + Zorin Business Partner/AVTAK. One could be cheeky & also say Bob Simmons (Gunbarrel logo Bond/DN + Jacques Bouvier/TB)

Re- First actor to play two different roles:

You're not going to like the correct answer.....

Bleuville is of course correct on the others.

Sir Rog in LALD: "Nelson David George"- the number plate of the "pimpmobile"?

    Nelson (an Admiral)
David (- sling operator, good one!)
George (I wasn't quite sure about this one, there is a singer called George who used to be a bit chubby in the 80s, but I don't think anyone could suggest he likes girls... ) :))

-{ Correct, The George was from the old kids rhyme, " Goergie Porgie, pudding and pie, Kissed the girls, and made them cry " :D

The original version of this question came from Sir Hillary Bray, I messed with it a little. ;)

What about Martine Bestwick who played one of the gypsy girls in FRWL and then appeared as Paula in TB?

One of the greatest Bond trivia questions ever, first brought to light on AJB by The Cat a number of years ago, when he was a consistent presence here. I revived it a little while back in a trivia thread.

I will not spoil others' fun by providing the answer. :D

I think it's Charles Gray, who played Henderson in YOLT and Blofeld in DAF
Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"

    No, not him.

And yes, Sir Hilary, The Cat was my source. :)

Long shot but... Is it Bob Simmons in Dr No, playing Bond in the gun barrel sequence, and also as stuntman for Jones (the Government House driver)?

Nope, that would be in the same movie.
