It was. You can't count a 10 second stationary clip, when the kit cars were used for all the other scenes both before and after that. The kits were made specifically for that pilot, the real car was just loaned and if you blinked, you'd miss it.

I suppose you could be picky and say that one of the original Daytona's was a real car too.

It's like saying that Bonds original film gun was the FN Browning, but like the Ferrari, it was seen a way into the film and was only on screen for a minute. We all know the PP was the original gun as it was on screen for longer and shown before and after the FN.
