From Russia With Love Bug Detectors

There are currently a couple of replica props of the From Russia With Love Bug Detectors for sale on eBay. One claims to be over 40 years old and the other looks brand new.

Does anybody know anything more about these replica props? When were they made?
Or are these still being made somewhere?

They are early 1960's gauges for measuring paint coat thickness on steel or iron surfaces, and made in the thousands. They were made for quite a few years and do have slight variations to the front dial and top adjustment dial depending on when they were made. They came in green as well as black. Not a rare item at all, but you need to get the right one.
