Do you think this could Work? If they made a separate Film based on a Personal Mission that Leiter is sent on?

would Bond be in it ? or then it would be just another C.I.A. film, cant see many people rushing out to watch a Felix Leiter film,
as I would imagine most people wouldn't know who he is ,unlike us Bond nuts ,but hey its up for discussion,so lets discuss,
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I always thought that F Leiter would make a great TV series. Dealing with terrorist
    threats in America etc.

No...don't see how it would work at all...there are loads of better film and tv ideas for Governmental work already...Leiter is basically a liason officer...

As a standalone movie I don't see it working. However, I could see a 6-8 episode miniseries work. Throw a cameo by Bond in there and I'd certainly watch!

If it was the Leiter of the novels, perhaps after his brush with sharks and a disabled agent working for Pinkertons, it could be a really interesting take.... Something like True Detective if anyone's caught that... I could see either McConaughey or Woody Harrelson as a straw-haired Texan.

It could work as a TV show but not as a film series -- of course, I doubt Jeffrey Wright would do it.

Or how about this, a Television Series about Bonds early Life? From his Parents dying, His Naval Days and then to his recruitment in the Service? The Series will end with Bond killing his first enemy Agent or whatnot and being rewarded 00 - Status.

Sort of filling in ghe gap between the Young Bond novels and the main series? The timeline would be tricky to manage, but it could work if done properly- perhaps in the way the "Hannibal" TV series fits itself around "Red Dragon".

Re a Felix Leiter series- they'd need to just pick one actor and stick with him!

Ehh I can't recall too many spinoffs that were very successful. It would be a fun idea and interesting to see, but I don't think it could ever work. Good post, though!
