Fiennes to star in play in January 2015

Saw this story and though it's not massive news, I thought it was interesting. Does it suggest Fiennes wont have a big role in Bond 24??

He recently said
The rumors are that I'm not stuck behind a desk, that I maybe do get out and maybe there's a little bit of action for M. I hope so.
and obviously it'd carry on the heavy involvement of M that happened in the Judi Dench films.

However, if he's in a play at the start of 2015, and with production on Bond 24 set to start near the end of 2014, he might have a tight schedule.

Not sure how the whole business works backstage, but I'd be surprised if he didn't clear this with the Broccoli family beforehand given that he was already signed on for Bond 24.

Looking at the link above, it doesn't take many scenes for M to be a prominent figure. Dench was a focal point of TWINE and yet only needed a dozen scenes to get that screentime. I'd be surprised if her screentime was any more than 15 minutes. I don't think we will see as much M as we saw in Skyfall, but that was to be expected from the onset.

I expect Fiennes to be somewhere in the QOS/TWINE range of screentime.

Well, to be strictly accurate, it says he'll start in February. "Fiennes - currently onscreen in Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel" - will star in George Bernard Shaw's political-philosophical drama "Man and Superman" from February."

If Bond 24 starts shooting in the middle of October and assuming his role is similar to Dench's in CR, he'll have ample time.

I doubt if he has more than a few weeks work with Bond 24. Even 6 weeks including script read-throughs etc would be rather a lot for anyone other than DC himself.

Hopefully for the next Bond, M will set up the mission and send Bond off. So will
Only be needed for a few scenes.

If he's doing the old-fashioned M thing, his scenes will probably only take a few days to film, if that.

Not overall keen on the secondary characters being pushed to the forefront in the movies, would be happy to see M assume a more peripheral role like Bernard Lee did.
