Bond soundtrack to give the composer of the NEXT film as an example?

I think any composer who listened to "Thunderball" a few times would get all the direction he/she needed to create an ideal 2014 Bond soundtrack. Yes, something to build on - I don't want "old fashioned" music, but there are sounds and moods that John Barry created for "Thunderball" that are the perfect 007 sound.

The soundtrack to OHMSS. There is a lot to build on there, and anything even close to that soundtrack would be fantastic!

Either of those would be fine.

GE is the one to avoid!

Still love GE's soundtrack, though a lot of it comes from my love of GoldenEye 64's music which is just epic.

OHMSS is a great choice, I love TSWLM and TLD but the are a bit dated. CR is very solid, love how they used the theme throughout the film, which is one part that Newman left out in Skyfall. Add the Bond theme and a little more brass as a throwback and I think we'd have a nice recipe for success.

Ah, sorry Sir Miles, you appear to have strayed into the music forum. Your appreciation of "Another Way To Die" automatically prevents you from venturing here. :D

The very reason I don't venture here is because this forum is full of tone-deaf philistines that couldn't recognise a decent tune even if it were to knock on their door and introduce itself ! :p

You will all be shot come the revolution :D

...and the list of those who like AWTD follows-

    Jack White
    Jack White's mum
    Jack White's dad
    Jack White's partner
    Jack White's kids (if any)
    Jack White's cat (obviously)
Sir Miles (who is probably one of the above, anyway)
The exec who gave this idea the green light instead of giving David Arnold a free hand.

(I missed out Alicia Keys on purpose; it wasn't her fault.)

You missed out Jack White's Bank Manager :D

Alicia Keyes ? Has she ever recorded another good song ?

Too bad that they are both blokes - the phantasy of a (topless {[] ) AJB mod catfight would be THE thing.

Yes, bagpipe is definitely Scottish for blowjob :D . Do try asking about this in Glasgow on a Saturday night, and then tell us the result once you leave Intensive Care.

And your hearing isn't affected at all. It still starts on Tuesday.
