Which Bond had the best Bond girls in general?

Someone in a Youtube comment mentioned that Roger Moore had the best Bond girls. :)
I kinda have to agree with them actually.
Solitiare in LALD was lovely :x and character wise she developed heaps and there was some really good stuff there (For a Moore film that is :)) )
Mary Goodnight was just irritating but Maud Adams did a good job here in TMWTGG
Barbara Bach's acting skills weren't the greatest, but Anya in TSWLM is still very popular and very much that Bond's equal vibe we got heaps in the Brosnan era.
Dr Goodhead was, to me, like a better version of Anya. More believeable as an agent, more likeable and better acted.
Melina Havelock use to be my favourite when I was young. :x :x I just love her revenge story, how she acts and everything about her in this film.
Octopussy was amazing, she didn't really turn up until the last 3rd but she was still really well acted and mysterious.
Stacey was annoying though, I grant you that.I think Moore also had a lot of bikini clads just walking around him the most. I think in every Bond film there was a "hotel pool scene" with scantily dressed woman walking around...He also kissed the most girls, a whopping 20 different woman, what do you guys think?

While I like most of the Moore Bond Girls, I would have to say Sean Connery had a number of great beauties:

    Sylvia and Honey
    Tania
    Pussy Galore and Jill Masterson
    Domino and Pat
    Kissy
    Tiffany Case

So for me it's SC hands down.

Dalton's two Girls were a bit different then any of the previous Bond Girls. They weren't so eager to jump into Bed with him and seemed a bit 'Tougher' too.

I agree! And who can forget the lovely femme fatales - Fiona Volpe in TB and Helga Brandt in YOLT. Also I would say that Plenty O' Toole was much better than Tiffany Case (and less annoying) although Bond never actually got to do the dirty with her. Poor fellow :))

But he did in real life. Connery was knocking Lana Wood off in '71 according to her. Lucky chap.

Looks-wise I have a preference for Moore's women, especially Caroline Munro, Lois Chiles, Corinne Clery & Tanya Roberts.

But one can't deny the beauty of Ursula Andress, Claudine Auger or Sophie Marceau.

Ha! I'll do you one better, I regularly run through the Bond themes playlist on Spotify while toiling away at my desk!

Back on topic, depends whether we're talking just about physical attractiveness or overall badassedness as a Bond girl. Also, are we only counting official "Bond girls" or all girls featured in Bond films?

I think if its sheer physical attractiveness you have to with Connery. He has Ryder, Trench, both Mastersons, Volpe, Aki, Plenty, Case, and the girl massaging Red Grant and Dink, if you include periphery.

At the risk of being controversial, I think if you go for well rounded (no pun intended) Bond girls, Brosnan may top the list. He has Nadia, Wai Lin, and if you count her, Elektra - all three among the strongest female roles in all the Bond films. Jinx is horribly acted, but the character is kind of a badass herself, and the other women in his films (Xenia, Christmas, Dr. Warmflash, Paris) are incredibly attractive, if not particularly impressive characters.

Finally, this discussion wouldn't be complete without a tip of the cap to Goodnight. Such an irritating character, but for my money, Ekland may be the single best looking Bond girl in the entire series. That's far from a conclusion I'm willing to stand behind, but she always steals my attention whenever she's on screen.

    Connery and Lazenby.

Domino and Fiona, for instance, are two stunningly good-looking and sexy women.

Tracy in On Her Majesty's Secret Service may be the ultimate Bond girl.

The Bond women are all beautiful in their own way, but the earlier Bonds had the better looking women.

Jinx was horribly acted? ?:) You're entitled to your opinion of course, but I really find this hard to accept. She is probably my sixth favorite Bond leading lady. I didn't realize how much many people hated Halle Berry.

She seems to be a little flat and have a very small range... in certain roles I can stomach her but for the most part I find her average at best.

And this is a hard choice... every Bond had such great Bond girls.. but if I had to choose just one film to have those Bond girls: LIcence to Kill. Easily. And that's really only for one of them.. though the other isn't bad.

Halle Berry/Jinx is to me close to the top of the list of Bond Girls in terms of physical attractiveness. And I have seen her give some pretty good perfomances in other films. But in DAD I think her acting leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't help that she is given some really cheesy lines to work with (e.g. "That's a mouthful" and "Yo Mama!"). But the way she reads the lines, telegraphing the punchlines and seeming to work too hard to appear clever and tough - well.....it just doesn't work for me. That being said, she's still not the worst of the Bond Girls (yes, I'm looking at you Tanya Roberts and Denise Richards!)

This is exactly my biggest problem with her performance - watching and listening to her in DAD reminds me of a grade school production. Just look at the goofy way she delivers the "half the girl I used to be" line - it's really like watching a cartoon. And the same really goes for her serious and "sexy" lines. Zero subtlety, zero nuance - just ham fisted smack you in the face stuff. Sure, the writing's at least partially to blame, but there's been bad writing in Bond films before and few performances stick out as much as hers does to me.

It's too difficult to pick. Off hand I would say it's between Connery or Moore. There's just more range with the amount of movies and types. I'm leaning Connery although Moore had some really exotic girls in his movies. I would have to pick and give ratings to girls. I will say that Ursula Andress and Kim Basinger give a lot to Connery's side.

It's Halle Berry's acting. Although the writing and other things in Die Another Day are at fault too. Or the director that doesn't say this isn't right. A lot of people joke about her horrible line in X-Men. Joss Whedon pointed out that is wasn't the line but how she read it.

I think all the Bond actors had their spread of good and bad Bond girls. But I'd say Connery's era had more good Bond girls than any other actor, and that's sad considering how gender norms were in the 60's.

    For classic Bond girls Connery.

For looks I would say Moore.

Overall best for me was Vesper.

Vesper was wonderful. She is one of my favorites because she reminded me of the Connery girls.

Though an argument can surely be made for the wonderfulness of all Bond girls, I think I would have to go with this order:

    Connery's girls
    Moore's girls
    Craig's girls
    Lazenby's girls
    Brosnan's girls
    Dalton's girls

I'd have to go with Roger Moore.

    You had:

    - Jayne Seymour as Solitaire
    - Barbara Bach as Anya XXX
    - Carole Bouquet as Melina Havelock (my favorite of the series)
    - Maud Adams as Octopussy

Honorable Mention to Tanya Roberts as Stacy Sutton for being 'hot' and 'attractive'

In terms of who had the worst Bond girls... Easily Timothy Dalton due to the irritating pair in Licence To Kill, and Pierce Brosnan for having bland girls in a very personal opinion of mine.
