Unless Superman is involved, then its all Cavill!
Here's one I don't get.
Skyfall. M tells Bond his belongings were all sold off when he was assumed dead in the field. - Why didn't he know that the Lodge and all its contents were sold off too?
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
I was joking too. On the last part of my post. Blackleiter could've said, "This is my second life." but he didn't.
I was just poking fun at him for not making a You Only Live Twice reference. (The movie not the book.)
I knew you were just responding to my joke with a joke of your own, and you got me - the YOLT retort would have been perfect. My mind is not as nimble as it once was, my friend!
What was the deal with Kananga's little jig when he said that the flooding of free heroin would drive his competitors out of their minds? Confusing and funny. )
Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"
In Moonraker, how does a 747 that's transporting a space shuttle from California to the UK end up coming down over the Yukon? I guess it's feasible if it was flying east-to-west, but that seems unlikely.
(Yep, out of all the crazy stuff in MR, that's the one that bugs me the most....)
1.) How does luring Silva to Skyfall -- where presumably M and Bond will have no additional weapons and no reinforcements waiting -- somehow improve their chances of defeating him?
2.) How does Bond taking M to Skyfall, where she gets killed, protect her?
3. Why do Q and 007 choose to meet at the British Museum, other than to shoehorn the painting into the conversation?
4.) Why would a top secret laptop hard drive not have some sort of self-destruct or self-erase? Silva seems to be able to get into M's computer at will -- how come M1-6 couldn't get into their own hard drive, given they have mini Q?
5.) Where did Bond get the knife he threw into Silva at the end of the movie? Was that Kincaid's and he just didn't bother to pick it up from the table? Why not?
6.) Why couldn't Silva find a less complicated way to kill M? After all, he could blow up MI-6, plant explosives in an abandoned tube station, and plot out his capture and escape, and Bond somehow just walked into M's house -- she seems a lot pretty vulnerable target.
7.) Is Bond currently on Double Secret Probation for not retrieving his signature gun?
This one has been discussed before, but was Alec already working with Ourumov in the PTS, thus making the whole capture/execution a show for Bond's benefit? If so, why not just kill Bond? (So he can go back and report that 006 is dead, allowing him to sink into the criminal underground as Janus) Ok, then if they need Bond to make it home to report about Alec's death, why are they trying so hard to kill him? Also, if Alec is already "bad" at that time, why is he sooooooo angry at Bond for changing the timers?
Maybe this isn't really a confusion for me, but a passive aggressive way of restating my argument in support of the position that Alec wasn't "bad" yet, and this was the event that made him turn.
Alec Trevelyan was already crooked and putting his arms dealing career into motion at the start of PTS (isn't it odd that Ourumov was managing a chemical weapons plant and the Janus syndicate had significant links with the chemical weapons loving Saddam regime?). He got peeved that the timers were sped up since he didn't escape to a safe distance in time, unlike Ourumov and most of his men in on the set up.
I suppose Trevelyan wanted Bond captured instead of killed (then kept in KGB captive as a hostage with the memory of Alec's mock execution looming large in Bond's mind) and also wouldn't be surprised if Bond was resourceful enough to escape from such a tight situation anyway.
'Alright guard, begin the unnecessarily slow moving dipping mechanism...'

Here's an old but valid one. Sir Freddy Gray (Geoffrey Keen) was aware of the fact that Stromberg and Drax were bad ins by the time of AVTAK. Yet he is still taken aback at the suggestion that Zorin could be duff goods too. Surely he would be more open to the idea, esp after Drax who had known a while?
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
Glasses kept Superman's idenity safe for years. )
It's not very clear on film but Bond's glasses changes the Polarization of the light Hitting the windows.
Meaning it removes the reflections, so you can see through the glass. I use them on Camera lenses
for the same effect, Although Mine work much better. )
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Speaking of AVTAK, something that always bothered me: Why does Mayday suddenly speak in a Russian accent when she wants to withdraw Stacy from Bond at Zorin's Party? :
One thing that has always confused me about TMWTGG. Why would Scaramanga have a Replica Model of Bond in his Hideout? And why would it be holding a fully loaded Walther?
So Moore could pretend to be the statue at the end. It's just one of the reasons I dislike this film.
I always assumed he had his brains scrambled by an ultra Hugh frequency
Sound wave. Or he was forced to listen to Shaken Stevens.
The way the agents were killed in LALD was so ridiculous that it's one of the reasons I knew I was in for one big joke fest before the movie even got going.
A person does not die instantly from a snake bite. I had to take some consolation into thinking that perhaps he merely passed out or had a heart attack.
Sound can't kill instantly (and if it were done through headphones - you only have to
remove them).
A knife jab in the torso not only will not kill you, it won't incapacitate, either. What would really happen is you'd scream REALLY loud and struggle.
The old series was filled with these type of cartoon killings - the way it had been done in the heavily censored areas of television, western and gangster films. Bang! The victim dies instantly from one shot and falls. In fact, EON still has not removed this easy kill from the series - Silva is struck dead from Bond's one knife throw. Oh well......

It's feasible but they usually charge you extra
And in advance )
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
No. They don't have Admirals in Canada.
Precisely!

" I don't listen to hip hop!"
Right! And thank you! )
Although Mr Big does seem very pleased with himself.
Old Timers like TP? )
Local OAPs keep fit club. )

That's the best I can come up with. )

Strange, huh?
