The 'We got Fiennes so we have to use him'-syndrome

After the 'We got Dench so we have to use her'-syndrome, because in QoS and in CR she's everywere where she must not be, it's seems like this will happen again.
He also teased that Gareth Mallory might not be stuck behind a desk in the film.

Maybe it's me, but I thought, they went to the old MI6 building, that they wouldn't screw up M again, like they did with Dench, I mean, the head of MI6 has other things to do then go to 007 to ask if he killed him and then ask to come back, like in QoS, and this is not the only scene, there are a lot of place's were she shouldn't be. In Skyfall and TWINE is OK, because that's the story, but in CR and QoS it's so stupid.
Does Fiennes means that he'll also be on places where he shouldn't be?
I really hoping that they go back to the old formula, flirt Penny, have respect for the old man and then listen to Q. What do you think, will they screw it up again?

sent off on his own. Although I don't think Fiennes " M" will be as involved
as Dame Judi's, somehow I think he will of course have a few key scenes.
But now Moneypenny will have to have her screen time too, so I'm sure they
Will still have the " spelling out the plot " stuff.
Indeed. . .remember M's private submarine; his secret HQ in Egypt; his appearances in Venice, Berlin, Gibraltar, Key West, etc.?
London, out smarting the Villain using red tape, computer firewalls etc, M having a
Meeting with some top government official. Subtlety treating or piling on the pressure.
Forcing the villain to change his plans, making a few mistakes, helping Bond from a
Distance. -{
Funny thing is, CR-06 QoS and Skyfall prove Bond could be alone in the field with minimal communication to M & Q, due to the technology. It seems Penny may have taken the original Q gag of following Bond abroad due to Q2's flying phobia!
I agree less is more with the character of M, (TWINE excepted) but Mr Finnes has proved in previous films he can do brilliant stuff with minimal screen time. I think the producers know that too. - My potential worry is the writing!
Yes, but in the last films in a bit too much, in the older one's he's getting is asigment, while in QoS she's almost everywere, in Siena, the hotel and on the end in Russia. Why don't bring White to the office, like they did with Silva, MI6 could have send someone or call when Fields died. And in Russia? Fly to Russia, ask him if the guy is still alive, then ask to come to MI6, and leave? You go to Russia for three seconds. perhaps exaggerating a bit, but it really annoys me.
Veering slightly off topic...but...Bond was being chased by White's men and needed to get him to a safe-house as quickly as possible...they were shooting the place up and certainly wouldn't have baulked at shooting up an airport - and Mi6 couldn't allow that...so the best option was to get him to a safe-house so he could be interrogated quickly...but that didn't quite go to plan 8-)
He'd of been a bit more useful around Skyfall lodge.
But that's the point ... They were 'appearances'.
Apart from Q having a last hurrah in LTK , M and Q we're never part of the action as such. What made it even more ridiculous with Dench was having a 70+ year old woman carrying on like she was still a field agent. At least Mallory would be more believable.
