Just thought I'd note that we're now about halfway there: the next Bond is due for release exactly 18 months today.

Around 18 months on from Skyfall, it still provokes controversy among us, and I kind of hope the next one does the same: brings something fresh and new to the Bond canon while retaining familiar elements. Let's just hope it's a vintage Bond. :007) -{

    Given that Star Wars 7 is set to be released later than Bond 24 but yet the cast has been announced and filming is set to start soon, how long do people think it'll be before we get news RE: Cast and things like that?

    I can't remember when the Skyfall conference was November 2011, so just under a year before the film was released, so do people expect a similar time period for the announcement of Bond 24?

    Not sure what to feel right now... want to be optimistic but with much of the same crew involved with Skyfall on this one I'm a little worried. I'd love to say I hope the teasers blow me away, but Skyfall's teasers blew me away. I don't like feeling this pessimisitc about Bond! :s

    For myself, I felt great leaving the cinema after watching Skyfall {[]
    Bond revived, eager to get started. M back in the familiar office, a
    Beautiful Moneypenny flirting with Bond. :D
