I gave up an Aston Martin...

...for this. and could not be happier. So the original dilemma, buy a preowned 2006 Aston Martin, or a new 991s. But after driving both, no question in my opinion.
(This way I still get to keep my Spyder, the wife is thrilled that she has officially lost both parking spots)
So thrilled I thought I would share and was wondering are there any other Pcar Owners out there?

You only live once, live like Bond!
costs an absolute arm and a leg to put petrol in it ,cant get any one in the back , wont go over speed ramps (easily) wont go in car parks with ramps ,the front splitter will spilt and people keep calling me names (how woooode) will it still be there on my return ? have to box it in on my drive with my other cars ,(3) and when you go to bed ,all you do is go whats that all night ,
it all sounds very good to drive one but it aint (my opinion) im sure others will disagree

Well its a sad day but I have finally succumbed and sold the DBS and the number plate !
Saw this thread and had to post as still traumatised
She goes on Thursday :-(
Not my daily drive, just a very big piece of JB collecting that I also got to drive. Despite the above posts (and I do agree with most re Aston ownership) owning an Aston is a special feeling. They create a sense of occasion and get a load of respect rather than taunts. Porsches are great cars and drive better / more reliable / cost less etc. But.... an Aston is an Aston. I've been fortunate enough to own 4 (the DBS clearly the stand out) and despite selling, I sort of know I'll be back in one at some point...
Love of Ducati's and R1's and tracks have meant its gone for now. No doubt Bond 24 will stir up some return feelings !!!
Off to give her one last polish for the new owner.....
