Off to London next weekend on a 007 organised trip , il post it after that .
Hopefully my wife can take a decent photo. )
Yours Truly at the Lazenby Lamp (had to hide the PPK from the local beat coppers)
My lovely Amanda and I with the DBS taking honors at The Quail Concours, Pebble Beach (Amanda in her Tracy Spanish riding hat)
Enjoying a Martini with my cat Dobbin*, even though he is a teetotaler.

Actually Tom in keeping with the adage that actors and photographers have no idea about armaments and munitions (and why should they, this is why you should always have an Armourer on set, stills or movie) most of the shots of the Lazenby Lamp had the slide locked back on the PPK

Yes, that is correct. I used a plastic PPK replica, and there was no slide.
What sharp little eyes you've got!
...So, then the busload of tourists turned up, and I was on that bloody lamppost for about 2 hours while my friend/photographer egged on the Brazilian and Japanese tourists that I was the "New 007!"
I even shared the post with a 90 year old lady who held the gun!
Great memories on what was the hottest May day in London on record...
Cheers

Wow what a great shot! I'm not sure, but re the slide on your PPK, I think GM was referring to the original shot of Lazenby with the slide locked back:
Maybe he had just dispatched some villain with his gun. )
I'm one of those who know nothing about guns, and never
even noticed. )
Once again, it's amazing the information you pick up on AJB -{
I remember reading that the action of the gun in the titles of QOS
is also wrong ?
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
When EON was promoting OHMSS, they took several Pictures of Lazenby in London. One of them depicted him leaning against a Lamppost. -{
