Live and Let Die shoulder holster ?

Anyone have any really good pics of the LALD shoulder holster ? For those who collect 1/6 figures, I have been making custom real leather 1/6 and 1/4 scale Indiana Jones gear for years.. But have been wanting to do a custom upgrade to my 1/6 Connery LALD figure.. Want to custom build a scale holster from real leather… Just need good reference shots.. Did a google search but never found really good closeups… may end up just having to watch the film and se it over and over… unless someone where has a good link handy.. Thanks in advance

    Hi...

Don't take offense, worthy project, but LALD was Roger Moore, and sideshow did a figure with a pretty accurate version of the holster..

I knew that… Not sure what I was thinking.. ! :# Thanks so much for the link.. I have that figure… thats the base I am working off of… but the holster is very cheap and flimsy… they made one of the Indy figure I customize… if you could see the Indy holsters I do in 1/6 you would see what I mean… I custom build fine detailed replicas in small scale of the belts, holsters and whips which essentially look like the real thing scaled down for the figures out of real leather… want to do the same for my LALD figure.. (Roger Moore LALD that is !! :)) )

WOW!!!!! Awesome, Mike!!! If you hadn't shown them against the full-size MK Bag they would have passed for the real thing.
sent you an email by the way.

    Hi MFisher,

    Here a three I found:

Didn't realize you are also on this board, as I'm a big (but silent) fan of your work on the Sideshow Freaks forum.

Excellent stills… throwing them in my collection of reference pics… Plan on building this down to the lacing/stitching.. kind of excited about a new project as I am somewhat burnt out on the Indy gear.. I have literally built 100s of those sets… but it has been a good source of hobby income at least :) Actually what funded my Barbour, Menlo & TF glasses last year

I'm glad to help. That's great that you can generate income from your hobby, something I wish I could do myself! Looking forward to your finished project. The LALD Moore was already a nice looking figure "as is" (I regret breaking up my figure and wish I had one still boxed), what more with a real leather holster.

Yeah.. have an aftermarket head sculpt I prefer over the SS head… better turtleneck too as sideshows was somewhat silky… Plan on making a real leather belt as well… Will take a bit.. but will post it here when done..

It doesn't seem as though anyone has mentioned the holster is a Bianch X-15. the newer ones have a thumbstrap over the body,so you'd be wanting to look at older versions. An image search will turn up lots of photos. Although made in several different sizes the
construction is the same. The split front has stiff wire going up the edge to retain the gun. That is what the two lines of white stitching running up the edge are holding. The first two pics show this best, but any good image will show the details;you'd just have to scale it around the S&W M29 provided with the figure.

    Hope this helps.

I wonder if the shoulder holster in question is the same model as used by David Souls Det Ken Hutchinsons one in Starsky and Hutch ,I think they used the same hand gun or at least very similar 8-)
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?
