Or is it like another day of Rain in N.Ireland. although .....

Well it's not as big news as if snow would fall in Texas in July I guess )
Depending where you live in Switzerland it would be big news if it would NOT snow )
) I keep joking with Number24, that I think his country is a
snow covered place, even thought it's a country of many different
vistas ( windows 10 now of course ).

I have just put another log and woodstove and someone has glued a Christmas card to my windows. But I'll bet that view'll have changed into bare grass, rain and gray sky by Yuletide. In fact I'll by everyone here on SABS a round of whatever legal substance they want if it snows here come Christmas
I too always seem to remember Christmas as being weather wise, dull
and wet. I still remember the Christmas I got my first " Big boys" bike,
and it was so wet, I didn't get outside to ride it for two days ! )

West wing hallway for a few hours )

In the extreme south such as the Stavanger region very seldom gets snow, and if it does the snow is gone again by nightfall. I live on the west coast of the southern part of the country. We always get snow in winter, but the weather is warmer than it was when I grew up. Snow during Christmas hardly ever happens now and the tiny glacier on the foot of one of the mountains here dosn't survive the summer anymore. People who claim human made climathe change isn't happening are delutional. The northern part of the country is mostly artic and very Cold in the winter.
It's usually towards the end of January or Feburary that we get snow. As soon as the first
flake lands, schools are closed, trains and planes stop, people start stockpiling food etc )

Landlord, give me an extra large lactose-free Egg Nog with extra rum and a dash of brandy, please. I just bought my first Christmas present of the season. Well, my first Christmas present for someone other than me, that is. I've bought a ton of stuff for myself over the last few weeks largely because of this website, unfortunately. I can't wait to wrap them, stick them under the tree and then see my face when I unwrap them on Christmas morning!
Hey, the swiss gave us chocolate and the cuckoo clock.
and if you can't trust a Swiss Ranker ( see what I did there)
What's the world coming to. ( All those ranking threads)

If you don't hurry up with my egg nog, I'll give you an early Chrimbo pressie of one of my proximal phalanges!
Grumpy! Here, Lactose free, but I have to use Sherry cause we are waiting for a delivery of Brandy. Oh and the powdery stuff is cinnamon as a garnish. I also put a little on Custard slices.
Pussy, I sorted things out with Holly and the vet. Our resident Panther is fine. Though he said we should use the next size up file for clipping her claws. I said that is what we pay him for! Also he has advised we need to stop her from mothering stray sheep. She has coughed up a ball of wool instead of a furball while sitting on the table.
(Looks at Domino.) After all that fuss, aren't you going to drink that? Happy Giving Thanks.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
One Coke Zero, please
Last night I was at a demonstration/rally against removing the emergency surgeon position in the local hospital. There were nearly ten thousand people there and I'll say about half of them carried torches. It looked like the siege of Helm's Deep
I've always been curious about Swiss cheese. When you buy a kilo of it, how do they measure the holes?
By law there must not be more than 200g of holes in one kilo of cheese, the measuring process is complicated though, some cut out the holes and weigh them seperately.
Of course many Swiss say, the holes taste best when left in the cheese
Did you know the holes in Swiss cheese are called "Eyes" and indeed the
Cuckoo Clock came from the Black Forest in Germany, odd that as Germany
has no History of engineering or manufacturing and call me old fashioned but
Black Forest Gateaux is still my favourite dessert. -{

on a trip to Frace a bloke gave me a kiss on both cheeks, as is the tradition.
Although it did suprise me, as I was tying my shoe laces at the time.

The cuckoo clock - of course was invented and is still sold in Germany! X-(
Don't compare Germany's cultural heritage with Swiss cheese!

At least, dear Neighbour, your country doesn't get mistaken with Sweden all the time like Switzerland does )
