Nice and warm in Northern Norway today! I think this is the first day this year I have considered wearing shorts :)

No worries! According to the weather report summer was today, the rest will be rain. I'm hoping the rust will give me a good tan B-)

My hand is healing nicely, thank you :)
The injured area has grown new skin and I no longer use a bandage.

Your comments about summer weather reminded me of a story: A salesman traveled around in Finnmark county to the extreme north of Norway selling garden benches. One housewife replied: - No need. If the sun comes up, I'll just sit down on my spark :))

(A "spark" or "sparkstøtting" is a sort of sledge used on ice)

Watching a recent Conspiracy programme. It showed a huge secret base the
Nazis built in Norway ( I think ) which could hold 60,000 troops and equipment !
Which I think shows that these sort of places ( Blofeld's famous Volcano base)
is based on a grain of truth, and shouldn't be totally thought of as absurd. ;)

One of the reasons that I tend to read a considerable amount more fact than fiction is because fact can be even more astounding than fiction even without the added bonus of knowing it's true. There are so many things in the real world that if included in a novel or a movie would be dismissed as rubbish and farcical.

No conspiracy, just brain fade on my part. I meant to post the news about Chris Evans being the lead presenter of Top Gear in Random Chat but somehow posted it hear instead. :s

Not a fan of Evans myself so am unlikely to watch the new series. It will very much depend on who the other presenter/s are.

I'll give it a go, but I can't imagine that I'll become a regular viewer. I'm not a fan of Chris Evans and the appeal of Top Gear for the past decade or so has been more about the presenters and their adventures and antics than any hard automotive information. In fact, the majority of people that I know who love TG would never watch a motoring programme. I just can't imagine Evans and any possible co-presenters winning many people over.

I've always been a casual Fan of Top Gear, never really been that big into it.
