    Haven't seen a hardback of that version before...but it's an Australian version, perhaps they did a set in hardback...?...it needs some of our Australian members to chip in on this...

    It certainly is unusual. The design was one created for the paperbacks, from 1963 onwards. The paperback version is quite common - it's a classic design. The value will be more related to the rarity of having a hardback version of the paperback design, as it's not a First Edition... And if it's in good condition then the value wold be higher...But I have no idea what the value would be.

    Depending on where you're located, there are some antique/ book values - a quick online search should give you some to consider:

    http://www.mumfordbooks.co.uk/valuation.asp

    At any rate - good luck and please let us know how you get on. -{

    Yes, sorry....I only really looked at the back of the book ;%

    There are a few on here who really know their books but they don't always visit everyday...frustrating I know - but why are you only interested in the value of the book ?

    It's a library paperback-to-hardback conversion*. This means that it's a standard paperback of the time which has been processed (see links below) to withstand the wear-and-tear of library use. And therefore of no especial value, unfortunately, though you may be lucky with eBay.

    * or possibly a private collector's copy.

    Great deduction, Barbel....I didn't think it was worth much just because I'd never heard of it before, but didn't want to say and appear rude.
