Due to a massive deluge of one PM about the rules and etiquette of the James Bond conversation game.
I thought I'd give a brief history, of this little know section of AjB.
The game has been going for generations, at first only verbally passed from father to son. It wasn't until the
Eleventh century and the invention of writing, was anything put down. The original Book was lovingly crafted
By an early order of AjB monks ( hence the monestary scene in MR) who's calligraphy was simply stunning.
Given it was made by a load of blokes with no female company, admittedly many of the illustrations are of
A pornographic nature, but still beautifully done. If a little inaccurate. Although not many knew of the book
( As reading wasn't discovered untill around the thirteenth century ).
It was stolen by a band of Norwegian Vikings, who'd pose as sellers of ready pack furniture and wall plaques
Of Reindeer antlers, and was lost for centuries, until it appeared under the care of a bunch of Austrian Nuns.
Big hefty, rugby playing Brides of Christ, led by Sister Holy Mary Higgins.
With their motto of " viridi trainer uulgo scire nihil boni agere " the Book was kept safe until being secretly
smuggled back to the UK.
During the war it was moved up to Scotland, and hidden in an old castle owned by the then Laird of Barbel,
Securely wedged in a Priests hole........ At the side of the fireplace. Only exposing his most cherished item to
A select few, while at the same time letting anyone have a look at the book !
Today it resides in AjB headquarters, displayed with the many other artifacts, and the names of those who
Have fallen,. With a blister on their finger, in the pursuit of typing Bond posts.
