Obtaining TF suit swatches

Anyone have a line on obtaining a TF suit material swatch ? An actual TF is out of the budget.. had a great Istanbul look alike suit made here in Nashville by a local tailor ... Considering going in for another soon... bouncing back and forth between the final Casino Royale 3 piece.. or the london charcoal stripe... would like to have swatches in hand when I browse their materials here locally...

I can't help you, sorry. But I believe the CR suit wasn't made by Tom Ford.

According to the JamesBondLifestyle site, looks like Brioni did the CR suits and TF picked up the ball with QoS.. Guess it is six of one / half a dozen of the other in terms of the final scene suit as it bridges the two films.. (just without the vest in the opening of QoS)... may just have to go with decently lit screen shots of the swatches and take that with me.... unless anyone here has a better option ?

It's not just the lack of waistcoat that's different. The stripes are different, and the cut of the suit is much different too. They made very little attempt to make the suits similar. They're both navy pinstripe suits, and the similarities end with that vague description. I wrote about the differences on my blog: http://thesuitsofjamesbond.com/?p=21

Exactly why this site is a treasure trove of like minded enthusiasts… (and has a seriously deep talent bench when it comes to knowing their stuff ! -{ ) I definitely prefer the QoS version.. Navy with lighter blue stripes.. 3 button roll, ticket pocket.. In the end, for me, the suit I would have made would be based off a swatch of the QoS material.. with those details, but add a waistcoat as an option… When I had my Istanbul suit made I altered a few details just to make it personal… I did not opt for the really short modern fit on the jacket.. but went a more traditional jacket length… and went with peaked lapels instead of notched..

Anyhoo…. now just to track down some swatches if that is even possible… or again.. really good photos of the materials in an evenly lit environment… Somewhere out there one of the members here can dial me in.. :)

I'd love to see a better photos of your pick-and-pick suit. It's hard to see it in your photo.

Swatches from screen-used suits were sold as "costume cards" after the film was made, and that blue striped suit was one of them. I have that card, though mine is one of the dirty examples. Because it's very dirty the colours aren't quite accurate.

As Matt noted in the post above, you want to get your hands on the Rittenhouse Costume Cards from "QoS." QC12 is the card number you want to find. There are a few on eBay at the moment. It features swatches of the PTS suit -
