I'm probably going to request the box set (all 23) for my birthday next month.
I'm just generally interested, what do people have now as their collection? Or their entire collection - full VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray?
I've currently got The Ultimate James Bond collection, the 2-disc box set release they did in 2005(?), then bought subsequent titles on Blu-ray + a DVD copy of Casino Royale. I don't think I'd get rid of these DVDs once I had the Blu-Ray box set, because it would still be convenient to have DVD copies and there's nostalgic value to them.
Also, are there many more features to these that aren't included on previous releases that are of interest? I.e. not image galleries lol
The blu rays contain all the special features from the two disc edition dvd's released in 2006.
"Sic Parvis Magna"
"Greatness From Small Beginnings."
Yes, I still have my ultimate DVD collection and have added the
Bluray collection. At the moment I'm turning my study into a viewing
Room for films ( it's not grand enough, to be called a home cinema)
and have to say for now, I'm using an old 32" television, hoping to get
a new 50" soon.
I'd never realised before how much fun it is to watch a Bond in a darkened
Room, with no distractions -{ as opposed to watching it in the living room
occasionally looking out the window etc.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Watching CR and QOS, back to back today -{ It was suggested to me, and I'm
finally doing it. Sitting in my new " Bond Room" ( still not finished) . There's some
Good reasons for trying to watch the Bonds, cut off from any distractions.
I finally got to see the brief scene where Bond uses his watch as a knuckle
Duster in CR. Whether that's down to being able to watch them in peace or
the great detailed picture you get from Bluray.
Either way I'm really enjoying them. Skyfall is for tomorrow and then with
great anticipation Spectre Monday night ! -{

All the films look good on Bluray, but the early ones look amazing ! -{

I am still on Dvd myself. I recently got the two video recorders repaired for a few Star Trek video tapes I still have from years ago, and episodes of BBC's Casualty I worked on. (Nothing exciting, I was an Extra.) The latter will prob be replaced by MP4 files in time. The VCRs won't be repaired again. All other videos I had have gone to charity.
Everything else I have is either Dvd frim the off inc the Bond box set, or Dvd replacements, such as Thunderbirds TOS and the early Carry On films.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
I've recently updated my Bluray player to a Sony with WiFi connection
and it's brilliant and so small, my last Bluray player was the size of an
80s video player. )

Haha I got a cheap one second hand because IMO BluRay isn't going to be like DVD, streaming has surpassed the disc medium - but I may look at getting a newer Sony one because the Samsung one I have sounds like a computer from the 90s!
) Yes, my older one did make a lot of noise.
Although I do agree the digital format is the future, but I think
The Blurays are worth getting for the extra features. I noticed
Google play movies has an offer for all three Craig Bonds in HD for
Only £19.99, which seems good value.

iTunes had the entire Bond collection with all the special features for $99 the other day. While that's $100 less than the BluRay box set here, as a fan, I'd rather have the physical collection.
With other movies I have a large DVD collection but am finding I just watch Netflix instead because of convenience. Bond is another story though!!!
I'm very happy with downloading films, very good quality in HD
Recently bought a couple of series of Torchwood, but I agree
with Bond, I want the physical collection.

) I only noticed today, As I've only got the movies through
Now TV , I can't Pre order it anyway but I'll get it off sky as
You get the download and DVD. I'll buy the Bluray elsewhere.

After reading SniperUK's post on watching Thunderball. I put on the
Bluray today, at the Bond v Moneypenny scene and for a short time
after I noticed a tiny white dot in the upper right of the screen. It would
Gradually fade away, then return. It is tiny ( but once seen ....... ) it then
Disappears for the rest of the film. anyone else ever noticed this ?

The condition of Thunderball's original film looks to be the worst out of all the films. The restoration team has done a great job on it to clean it up, but there is still evidence of poor condition, in particular in the Bahamas scenes, there are black marks at the top of the film and a tracking line down the centre.

I have those, they are the only versions I have. I have not upgraded to Blu-ray yet.
The two short documentaries give nothing new away about SP. It gives you a code to put in online. I've got a couple spare if you want one?
Just drop me a private message tomorrow and I'll send you the code with instructions.
