Had to choose European L, usually I'm an M, but I was just to tight around the chest when trying to close the zipper. If worn like on the Mango page M would have been ok.

Hey Guys, i'm french and found the Mango's Bomber in a shop. I bought it for 50€. I love it, i've taken a size S (i'm kind of skinny) instead a M, suit better when it's fitted !
Out of interest Vhan, whats the pit to pit measurement of the small? Im generally a medium, but trying to get a feel for fit.

As you say, could be a red herring, or as they have a military look, would they buy TF items for villains personel? Mantis ' source states quite a few were bought. Don't know, but looks a nice jacket and various shops in the UK seem to have variations on this theme, its obviously 'on trend' a they say!

So far only Bond has donned TF, and they always take 15-20 for DC of any piece to enable continuity / alterations for different fits / damage and re takes etc etc

I think its extremely likely its a Bond jacket ..,

The Toyota 2000 from YOLT, or the lounge chair that Bond plops onto after the trap door slide (also from YOLT)
Bond's father's hunting gun from SF

I was in TF London today, and couldn't resist trying on DC's newest addition to his wardrobe:

Zara has something similar currently in stock and I'm thinking about buying it because the fit is great:

    Nice pics Blair! -{

I tried on the very same jacket at TF London a couple of weeks ago.
Very warm, with the padded quilted lining, but very expensive for what it is.

One thing to note is that the zipper is slanted, rather than vertical.

DZ - Is the one you saw in saw in TF New York, Navy blue like this?
I got the impression from the pic taken at the time, that it was black, or brown, rather than blue.

I think the one David posted was black. Seems like quite a few variations of this kind of jacket by TF

Looks fantastic, I love the webbing and leather details. Does anyone know of a good, high quality alternative (better than Zara etc), something that's actually insulated for under £500? I was thinking along the lines of Canada Goose but no luck with them.

Hold this space I am ordering this jacket and looking to make affordable replicas as per the Casino Royale Jacket that it currently being made.

I have discussed two options with the manufacturer making it with Navy sheepskin on the outside and sheep fur or the inside and also a same for same replica

Well done Blair. Not keen on the slant to the zip, but looks good on. The Mango jacket, which I have, is a fair approximation of the style. Its a black instead of blue , but has the shearling collar ( fake, but un-buttons to give the jacket a plain collar) made from a similar wool/Melton type material, ribbed cuffs and waistband , quilted inner and 2 slanted pockets.

Thanks David - I tell you, I only had it on a few minutes and could feel a sweat developing - understandable that this jacket is likely to be used in winter/ski scenes.

Im guessing from Blairs pics that the fur collar unbuttons off if required

I think it looks better in Blair's pictures than the ones posted earlier, but the styling still doesn't do much for me. The pocket webbing is very large, and I've never liked the type of pockets where you have that arrow shaped reinforcements; not on denim jackets, peacoats, nor this one. It just doesn't "sing" to me like the TF Harrington or the BR peacoat. My opinion on the jacket may rise depending on how it looks without the collar. I'm sure Sam Mendes will make it look good, but having a jacket with a possible slant zipper and the pull on the left seems troublesome.

Blair, a bit off topic, but were you wearing your TF Harrington in the Bond Experience video or a replica?

Ross, interesting you are looking into a replica already. I would have thought it would fall into what Dan Love might do next.

If he wears that jacket I really hope he has some heavy stubble to go with it, that would be a great look.
