Not that one really stands out, but maybe Jim Caviezel. He played Jesus in passion of the Christ and is on American TV with Person of Interest. His character on the show is very physical and assassin like. But like I said, I don't think there's really a great candidate.

Lee Pace. Anyone else watching Halt and Catch Fire? Not totally sold on his acting (just haven't seen enough of him), but he's definitely got the look down and the confidence/charisma as well. He actually has an oddly close resemblance to Lazenby (IMO) at times. Right age too, I think he's 35.

I said something similar months ago -- he's got a bit of a Connery vibe in his physicality, and now that he's older, he has more bearing.

Yeah he has the vibe down. You could also say that his relationship with Finch is a glorified M/Bond relationship

I would pick Ray Barone :))
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I want to say Clooney, but he would be like Moore x 10 on the goofy camp with little to no brutal killer instinct.

I think when he was the right age, Redford could have done it pretty well. Hmmm...is Matthew McConnaughey a crazy idea? I mean, he's certainly over exposed, but if you put that aside...

Nice pick. Pace is around 6' 2" and does a good facsimile of a "mid-Atlantic" accent, as seen in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Lastly, Pace's personality on Halt and Catch Fire does match the literary Bond's.
