Okay, now that I've seen the video, I want it Before I saw that I was torn between it and this one http://www.shop.007.com/aston-martin-db5-keyring, but you've convinced me to go for the bigger one.
Just watched the vid, you'd think at this price they could finally get the rear Swiss plate right and also the front machine guns. Do these people understand the phrase "attention to detail"? X-(
It's funny, but at the start of the video when the guy is walking around the car I (somewhat ashamedly) must admit that I thought "Wow, that's a huge model. Much bigger than I expected." And then I realised he was walking around a real DB5 scanning it.
Frankly prefer to wait for the Silver Birch. Wondering, though, if this might not be what's given rise to the rumored £40K price tag.
Love the look of the remote!
Gold Plated Aston Martin DB5 sells for £55,000 at Christie's.
Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary James Bond film Goldfinger, this 1:3 scale replica of the DB5 that Sean Connery drove in the movie was plated in 24-karat gold and signed by Sir Ken Adam, who designed the modified movie prop. Created by Propshop at Pinewood Studios, the model comes complete with radio-controlled machine guns, bulletproof shield and rotating license plate.
After registering interest from some 19,000 viewers from 129 countries, the model sold online for £55,000 ($90k) to one Mr. Robert Tyrrell, an English farmer and Bond fan. Proceeds benefit the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. http://www.autoblog.com/2014/09/22/gold-plated-aston-martin-db5-model-auction/

Just the one? Doubt it. He'll need a second one to turn into a screen accurate burned out Skyfall version.
One to keep in the box and one to w@nk over :v
I forgot about that one. Three then.
Cue 'salt corrosion' jokes.

Doesn't appear it impacts the DB5 but curious that it comes just 24 hrs after the official announcement of same.
Parenting hasn't been kind to minijeff.... 8-)
