Skyfall dinner suit alternative.

Hi guys, not posted in a long time however I saw this http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/Midnight-blue-slim-fit-shawl-collar-dinner-suit?q=gbpdefault|Midnight-blue|dja05nav|||||||||||||&sortBy=Price%20(Descending)&page=2 while browsing the Charles Tyrwhitt website. Obviously hasn't been released yet as it was sort of hidden and I only found it when searching for something. Judging by the prices of their other suits it will be marked down to £299 when it is released which must be shortly after their end of season sale ends (monday). Thought it was a great alternative to the Tom Ford suit and something you guys might be interested in.

Looks very sharp for the price. I'd size up on the trousers as those look rather snug at the fork and thigh.

Yeah I have a pair of slim fit suit trousers from Charles Tyrwhitt and after squatting heavy and eating more I can barley do them up let a lone sit down in them without fear of them ripping at the seams. Definitely size up.

Quick update guys, CTs new stuff came out today but I couldn't find this suit, upon contacting them they told me it would be autumn before they restocked their 'occasion suits'.

I got an email from mytuxedo.co.uk them saying they "provided the suit for Quantum of Solace". I responded asking what they meant by that and never heard back. I hope they aren't trying to con people by saying they made suits for Quantum of Solace.

Technically they didn't actually say who they "...provided the suit for Quantum of Solace" to. It could have been: "We provided the suit for Quantum of Solace to Bazza of Bethnel Green for his 13th birthday party..."

But that infers they bought the original suit for QoS and gave it to Bazza :))

    Correction:

"We provided the suit for Quantum of Solace-themed birthday party to Bazza, age 13, of Bethnel Green..."

    (Puts on formalwear hat)

My Tuxedo sell decent classic style formalwear but they also go for the fashion trend howlers, so I say approach with caution.
You can find decent quality stuff on their site, and their accessories, shoes and other items are not bad. Remember though a dinner suit is a classic style and should last a long time. As a clothing retailer, some of their stuff will be here today gone tomorrow. - ike this monstrosity on the same page! http://www.mytuxedo.co.uk/noose-monkey-floral-jacket-with-black-satin-shawl-lapel/

Re that Blue suit, they even describe the suit as a "one of this seasons must have looks." Fine for A list actors, not fo those of us living in the real world.

Re supplying clothing to Bond, - from a marketing standpoint, I suspect that this is a reference to the extras seen at the Opera scenes in QoS. My Tuxedo list credits for several different film and television productions, all of which have featured formalwear, as well as The London Philharmonic Orchestra. The magazine and newspapers listed have probably used their clothes for celebrity photoshoots and interviews.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

If they actually did have some involvement in Quantum of Solace, I wonder why they didn't clarify when I asked. They also told me "We have the suit handing (sic) up in our office".
