Usually anything with Daniel ) (I think I've watched Layer Cake 20 times?!!)
No not to seem like such a chick... but Love Actually gets put on a bit, but it's usually films that have several twists that I like to watch over again....Inception is one of them.
You start watching it, you end up sitting down to watch it all. ) The entire
Cast is fantastic, they all work so well together and it looks very stylish. -{
How the second" layer cake" will turn out with Jason Statham, I don't know
I like " The Stath" but Daniel Craig he's not ) so it might be more of an action film.
Perhaps Matthew Vaughn might get a shot at directing a Bond someday as I love
The look of Layer Cake.
Kelly's Heroes, Where Eagles Dare, The Party(Peter Sellers), High Plains Drifter, LA Confidential and the Tom and Jerry Box Set.
And Christmas must see films are Elf and National Lampoons Xmas Vacation -{
Forgot one ... Up Pompeii with Frankie Howard, packed with innuendo's
National Lampoons Xmas Vacation -{ so funny, with so
Many funny lines ( I'd forgotten about it ). )
Ranbo, Aliens ,Total recall, Transporter (the one with the BMW naturally) ) predator, elephant man , ice cold in Alex,
star treck (the one with the whales in it) commando, terminator , high plains drifter, outlaw josey wales ,magnim force,
who dares wins, oh I could go on for ever
Duck Soup, Singin' in the Rain, The Dam Busters, Once Upon a Time in the West, Zulu, The Party, Annie Hall, The Right Stuff, Pulp Fiction, Fargo, The Last of the Mohicans, Apollo 13
all of a clockwork orange, watch it in bits but sadly lose interest.
Like all those and of course The Italian Job (with so many quotable lines.)
You must've shot a lot of tigers. Yes -I used a machine gun !
I like the 70s Alistair Maclean films like When Eight Bells Toll and Fear is the Key as well as Where Eagles Dare.
Bleuville.
Inception - Haven't actually seen it in a while, but easily my top pick for Chris Nolan. Ingenious premise, great cast, wonderful Bond homages... it's the best blend of sci-fi & action since The Matrix.
Alien - Probably my favourite horror movie. Superb cast, direction & set design. Still scary after multiple viewings.
The Avengers - Arguably *the* summer movie experience of 2012, Avengers was a total blast & a breath of fresh air in the wake of the relentlessly dour Dark Knight Trilogy. Far from perfect, but fun nevertheless.
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - Also been a few years since I've seen it, but one of the best spy movies in recent years & the most fun I've had in theatres for a while. Ghost Protocol fills a niche that the recent Bond films no longer occupy.
1) The Spy Who Loved Me 2) On Her Majesty's Secret Service 3) GoldenEye 4) Casino Royale 5) Goldfinger
Love Actually and the Bridget Jones movies get watched pretty regularly but otherwise not a lot else.
I quite often watch movies over and over that are repeated on TV but purposely watch a film, not much.
During my teenage years there were two films that were on constantly. The Sound of Music ( yes, honestly) and Rocky Horror Picture Show. I still live both films.
The Rocky horror picture show. {[] love them both
( I'm proud to say I've never seen The sound of Music. )
Forgot to add I also have Hairspray.
If we're talking musicals, give me West Side Story every time. Magnificent!
I love a musical !!!
Not sure I were I get it from though. My mother always says of them 'they ruin a good film with all that singing ' ..
) ) )
Ed Wood, Mystery Men, most Clint Eastwood films.
The Long Goodbye
The IPCRESS File
This is Spinal Tap
The Bourne Identity
The Masque of the Red Death (Corman/Price version)
Groundhog Day (This film, along with Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal, sums up my philosophy of life)

Thanks for reminding me! The Philip Marlowe films, the Harry Palmer series.
While The Long Goodbye is my favorite (yes, I know it's a controversial film loathed by many Chandler fans), I also love the Bogart/Bacall The Big Sleep and Dick Powell's turn as Marlowe in Murder, My Sweet.
And I'm very much on the same page as you regarding Hammer and Universal horror films, especially Hammer.

I just got a copy of "The Mummy's Shroud" yesterday, will probably watch it very late tonight.
Speaking of JFK...Do people in the U.K. generally believe that Oswald acted alone, or do they generally assume there was a conspiracy. I don't want to get into a big debate with somebody over the assassination, I'm just curious how people in other countries view what happened.
also believing this, I can't remember speaking yo anyone
who thinks he acted alone.
Infact there was a very good documentary showing how
he could have been shot accidentily by the secret service !
I totally agree. But there are tons of people in Canada, and more so in the United States that perpetuate this myth of Oswald being a lone nut, and a killer without a motive. Even CNN during the documentary series of The Sixties had two hours about the assassination, reiterating the same things, magic bullet, and all.
I've always been really interested in JFK, and have read quite a few books on the subject, that's why I was curious.
