Purcell OTR

So after many years, I'm still on the hunt for a pair of Jack Purcell OTR Mids in a 10.5/11. I found this link and I'm not 100% about it. Sounds like it could be bootleg. Any thoughts?

That looks very shady. It seems like the OTRs disappeared off the market a long time ago so for this site to somehow have stock of every size seems very suspicious. If you Google the website it comes up with a couple of bad reports as well.

The website is owned by someone in Putian, China. According to Wikipedia, Putian "...is known for high-quality counterfeits of shoes."

Better have a high quality counterfeit than nothing in this situation to be honest, most of the stuff is made in China anyway so there is barely any difference between the original thing and knockoffs very often. The only question remains if the seller actually has those - I would love to get a pair of EU 46's, even not original. Magnoli will not make a replica of them so this is the second best thing if it really exists.

Ask him for some real photos, the ones on the site are all over the internet.

Well… just to test the waters.. I ordered a pair… Taking one for the team :# I did the same with one of the Skyfall Menlo knock offs once.. posted pics of the monster abortion of a jacket I received from India… Hope that helped some of the members here with not taking the same plunge… I will post results when (or if) the shoes come in… or if they just hack my bank account and clean me out.. :s

Wow, I don't know if that was brave or unwise! :D One option that comes to my mind is to order like 100 pairs, not pay for them and see if they have any left in stock. If yes - it's a scam.

Actually even if they allow you to order 100 of them it's definitely a scam.

    Intredasting gentlemen, really intredasting :>

If they have 430 of them in stock, even counterfeits, then I guess this is one big pile of Triceratops crap.

I paid via paypal, but the payment sat unclaimed for over 12 hours and the recipient is "unregistered".. So I cancelled payment through paypal.

I also paid via paypal, I'm showing the sellers name and info on the receipt. I'm gonna let it ride out until tomorrow.

Strange.. when I paid it showed as pending and the recipient was unregistered… That led me to believe it was not a regular business, but somewhat of a shell…. So I cancelled… keep us advised though.. Had my payment processed immediately to a paypal registered user with a long history I would have let my order ride as well..

I'd give them awhile, Paypal has a $200 protection, if it is fraud.
I'll try as well. Even if they are counterfeit, I'll let PayPal know and get a refund

8 days with no response to my two emails. Website still says pending, but the same thing happened when i ordered my Madagascar shirt from Indy. A friend told me to at least stick it out for 20 days. Fingers still crossed
