OHMSS Scene Recreation: Aston Martin Portugal Seat Closeup

Cheers All,
Here is my stab at recreating one of my favourite OHMSS scenes, the Portugal GL intro.
Having completed the mechanical work on the Aston on Saturday, I turned to detailing her in preparation for a TV commercial that will be shooting over the next weekend.
Took some time to try the lighting with work lamps, and recreate the shot as best I could.
I discovered that the seat in the screenshot differs slightly from the actual DBS seat in my car.
I know of no variations in AM DBS seats over the run of the model, save colour, material, and later required headrests....so....time for a little detective work:
Does anyone also think that this is a studio shot, much like the glovebox AR-7, so some other seat was used? It looks close to a DBS seat, but not exact. I have sat in and examined FBH 207G rather closely at Longstratton Motors in the UK, and the seats were exactly as mine. I have also seen and corresponded with Sigi, who owns GKX 8G, and his seats are standard as well.....so....
Do we have another studio variance here??
Let's get our experts cracking on this one...
Anyway, hope that my fellow OHMSS fans enjoy my attempt at recreating an iconic scene.
First pic is screenshot from film, second is my recreation.
Cheers,
Tom

If you look at way the ribs run I would say the original shot was taken from the front and your recreation from the drivers side. I think it would be very unusual for any car seat to have the ribs running laterally instead of length wise. Also you can see the back of the seat in the original. This would also possibly point toward it being a studio shot, give the amount of room in the footwell. That all being by the by, a great shot with nice accurate props. {[]

Once I get some time, I can remove the seat, or shoehorn my fat rear end in there and try to do the pic again.
Spent several hours tonight completing the jetting and setup of the new (proper) Bolognese Weber carburettors. Turns out I had also timed the cams a bit off during the initial build, and an expert Aston Service Manager put it right over the weekend with his factory dial indicators and experience. I set them to the baseline spec given by the cam manufacturer, then a veteran walks up and tells me, "Oh, you want to set them about 3 degrees off of that if you want the car to run properly."
My God, what a difference!
Car is smoother, revs much easier, runs cooler, and just seems to have 30 more HP!
Sorry to tangent....
It's late, and I'm tired...
Thnaks for the sharp eyes..
Tom
Believe it or not, it is probably easier to find a DBS for sale than a damn unmolested Cougar!
Look at the production figures for both cars, and they made far more Cougars than DBS cars.
We have scoured the American Muscle Car shows- numerous in California, and have NEVER seen a Cougar even near Tracy's specs. I hear from Mercury owners that many of them were hot rodded, or, even worse, made into lowriders in LA.
One hope though is that there is a Cougar specialist in SoCal, who can probably source the correct pieces to make a Tracy Cougar from several donor cars.
Amanda loves the car, so its just a matter of time (and winning the lottery) to be able to buy her one, or restore one myself.
I do have a friend w a red Camaro convertible which looks the part if we ever wanted to recreate the chase scene. The Cliff House in San Francisco can double as Portugal....
Cheers,
Tom
Available on iTunes.
Some excellent instrumental Bond tunes all round in fact. -{
Knowing Tom's eye for detail, why go for a pale imitation when you can get the original soundtrack, inc the mentioned track by the late great John Barry and his Orchestra (£7.99 on iTunes)

Naturally, I used the film track for the main theme, with the last 4 beats, instead of 2 per the released soundtrack.
Thanks friends,
