. So while Moonraker falls short of a higher standard, bearing little-to-no resemblance to the Ian Fleming novel, I still have great respect for the film and I think that more people should.
We will now condemn you to...
The Comfy Chair! Ha! Take THAT!
Which, the one from Monty Python? ?:)
"The secret agent. The man who was only a silhouette..." -- Ian Fleming, Moonraker
1) The Spy Who Loved Me 2) On Her Majesty's Secret Service 3) GoldenEye 4) Casino Royale 5) Goldfinger
DAF would have to be my least favourite Bond film in the 1970s and while of course not without merit it is very lame and silly in places. MR I have always loved and always will, even though I am a Fleming purist at heart. So get your head around that one! 8-) )
More Fleming purists should follow your example. -{

I think like many here, I still put DAF on from time to time, and
Enjoy it every time. Sure it's not Fleming , but I still laugh at the
Script,very witty. -{

I can't stand Diamonds Are Forever, but I'll say this much; it is infinitely re-watchable. Same goes for the other two Hamilton/Mankiewicz movies.

The script is very witty and clever. I like how Wint and Kidd finish off each other's sentences after a kill.
Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"
So I guess I don't have a least fav from the 70's. However, TSWLM and MR both rule supreme over the quirky Guy Hamilton trilogy.
I agree with most of this assessment; Lewis Gilbert is superior to Guy Hamilton, but given the choice between Moonraker and Live And Let Die I'm going with Live And Let Die.
