    As Robert Carlyle said in an interview once " Connery was The Man !" . -{
    That's a statement I wholeheartedly agree with ! {[]

    I just don't really care for some of those early films, although I'm not being that fair to them I guess, since I've only seen them once a long time ago, I just remember that I wasn't too fond of them. I need to get them all on one format, so I can judge them accordingly now that I understand more than I did when I first started liking James Bond, which was in 1998.

    I think you'd be surprised how good those first ones were now that you've been a fan for a while.
    Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

    I can understand for much younger fans, the early films
    Probably look quite dated. Although for me that's actually
    A bonus as they are closer to Fleming's wonderful stories
    By using similar cars etc to those he wrote about. {[]

    Didn't we have a "Best/Worst Dressed Bond" thread a while back? I think Connery came out ok in most people's eyes (bar the blue teddy bear suit in Miami) while the others tended to polarise opinions.

    I'm surprised none of our enterprising "Bond Clothing & Memorabilia" members have attempted to recreate the blue play suit. I mean, I'd definitely get one. Then get Mrs C&D to give me a quick massage on the lido of a hotel in Southend or Frinton or somewhere ( the Miami of Essex) before having a 'man talk' with TP, Barbel or AOS... :007)

    Bad for most of us mortals, but on Connery even that look was cool! Besides, would you want to be the one to tell him about his fashion faux pax? I sure wouldn't! :))

    The mountaineering about the Whyte House was the first really good Spider-man scene.

    I don't agree. Actually in DAF he has an awful, ill fitting wardrobe. Might be the 70s fashion, but also his bad shape didn't help , which only goes to show that Connery is a mere mortal too. When he didn't work out and ate and drank too much, he didn't look good.

    Well, it's nothing compared to what Moore wore in the next couple of films. I do agree that in DAF he looked his worst- though I don't rate NSNA at least he looked better there!

    That scene was what hooked me on Bond when I first saw it at the cinema back in '71, aged 7... -{

    I know it might have something with his films being the most
    Contemporary but so far I think Craig has been one of the best
    Dressed Bonds. His suits in QOS were brilliant. -{

    I don't agree. Moore in LAD looks specially good,his chesterfield overcoat is really classy. He was in better shape than Connery in DAF, and it shows.

    True but fashion changes so quickly. I remember thinking Brosnan was the best dressed, but those 1990s ties look dated now, send I can't help thinking in a couple of years even Craig's QOS suits will look the same way.
