Building a Better Bond :: Set Blueprints

Some blueprints I've acquired over the years:

DAF Mud Bath / Surgical Center

Willard Whyte Penthouse

Map Room / Design Center

Owing to a recent purchase I opted to have everything scanned; when I started my only option was 1:1 copies.

Thanks, lovely to see original sketches for the 007 films, they are truly works of art in themselves!

There's alot more of Lang's stuff -- he did the docking bay elevation -- in the upcoming Prop Store auction; I had a chance to see it all before it was catalogued but many of the pieces were either fairly preliminary or not dissimilar from the couple of drawings I came away with.

I've never seen these before. Were these in auctions from way back? Blueprints like these will make a good display.

Mostly they're from various auctions over the years, primarily Christie's. I have more but these are some of the more interesting (or at least recognizable) ones. The Lange I purchased directly from the Prop Store.

Again, there wasn't much I could do with them before other than make one-to-one copies (which I did, so the originals could be kept stored to prevent fading).

Today, though, they can be scanned, cleaned-up, and rescaled which is how I'm now able to post. Means they can now also all be made about the same size which makes showing/displaying way more practical; before, if I presented the DAF penthouse (which is a good 4' across) that pretty much prevented including any others simply because there wasn't room.

Thanks for sharing this! As a Landscape Architect... I'm a bit of a blueprint nerd and love looking at blueprints. These are pretty awesome. I didn't even know that props like this existed. I wish I could own some blueprints myself but I'm not making enough to afford to purchase them from the propstore. :# Maybe one day when I've got a bit more finance I'll be able to procure some for my collection.

If you're ever considering having these created digitally let me know. I do a lot of drafting in AutoCAD and could probably help you out. It could be a very fun project! :)
