Adam Raynor

Don't know anything about him, other than he may at some point play The Saint. He's a bit generically handsome, but he has some of the bearing to play Bond.

I've seen far worse candidates. He's not too old yet, but you have to wonder why he hasn't got a more solid resume at that age? Rayner seems more the Pierce Brosnan type and not the Daniel Craig type. Is that enough for the 2020's?

That's my first impression of him as well.

Well he certainly looks the part anyhow. :007)

I'm pretty sure we're going to get someone more the Brosnan/Moore type in the next film series. After five or so films with Daniel Craig, the audience will be ready for the change.

This fellow seems to have some of the qualities we'd expect in Bond, though he's not yet buff. My issue is that he seems too generic right now, but that could change with the right do-over or whatever. He's got a handsome face, but he also looks like he could be gritty if given the opportunity. I like the fact that he looks like he could pull off humor well in addition.

He handles himself well in this clip:

Not an impossible choice, in a few years.

Imagine how hard it must be for the producers to have to make a choice. :#
They'd never going to please everyone ! :))

Based on what I've seen so far, I think with some coaching and physical regimen, Rayner could pull it off. This promo for a reboot of The Saint that never happened shows he's got some of the Bond qualities, though not yet fully developed:

Good to see Sir Roger in that clip - good find, Gassy Man.

Is like to see Luke Evans in the role- he also has some Bond-like qualities:

Really sorry the Saint series didn't go ahead. The trailer looks interesting. Was looking forward to the pilot being shown but no sign of that yet.

Adam Raynor is now staring in a series called The Tyrant which started this week on Sky.

    +1 {[] , you'd think there'd be a market for a new series of The Saint !

Yes, I'm equally baffled as to why it did not go ahead. :s

The Saint is a fantastic character " a modern day Robin Hood" -{ , He
    ( in many ways like Bond) can evolve and change to suit every generation. -{
As a thief he's got that dark side that the viewer wouldn't know how far he'd
Go, as unlike the police etc, he hasn't got to follow rules. Maddening to think
    It might never happen. :#

It's being rewritten as we speak...not heard about it being filmed but a guy that lives near me has been asked to rewrite it...

{[] oh I hope so, I'm no expert on The Saint ( even less on Bond) but I have
Read the books as well as watching every film and TV version :)) so I'll
Have my fingers crossed for it.

Ah, the only bit of a failure for me, liked the back story of him being in
The orphanage etc, but the film just didn't seen in the spirit of the Saint. :#
Although it was nice to here Sir Roger on the radio at the end. Basically
IMHO, it could have been done much better. :D

I just discovered the actor Tom Ellis. He seems like a fine candidate for Bond:

    - Born in 1979

    - He is British

    - Has a good TV career, but not really famous yet

    - Classically handsome and charming, the ladies like him

    - Tall (6' 3'') and dark haired

I don't know if he is too classically handsome or too dark ( he has brown eyes) and his CV is dominated by light TV series, but he should be considered. He reminds me of Adam Raynor in most of those ways, good and bad.

Sadly I only know him from Comedies " Miranda" :)) , Haven't seen him in anything
of an action man role. Still I'm sure he's as good as anyone else.
