AJB Thank You Thread

chrisisallchrisisall Western Mass, USAPosts: 9,062MI6 Agent
I was just feeling like we should appreciate this place in a dedicated thread, because I come home from my evil work, visit here & it just puts a big ole smile on my face. So, for this first post, let me thank the owners of this site for making it work, Sir Miles for being the best Mod ever, Thunderpussy for making me laugh almost every day, and Blackleiter for always being there to help defend YOLT from its detractors.
There is more intelligent conversation, witty nonsense and interesting characters here than most other places I've been to, as well as a noticable lack of vitriol and trolls.

So here's to AJB, and its community of fine brigands! {[]

Always happy to do my part! :)) And let me just concur with everything you said about this terrific place. You folks make an old Bond fan like me feel young again, and that's a feat not to be taken for granted! Seriously, I enjoy the laughs, the comraderie and the mostly light-hearted, but sometimes almost scholarly-like seriousness, with which we discuss all things related to our favorite gentleman-spy. All Hail to AJB!!! {[]

Really Nice Idea for a thread, {[] , Not going to embarrass anyone by name but I fully agree. With AJB, I've
found a home, I've Gone from being the only Bond fan in the village,... to Just another Bond fan in the village. :))
Over the years I've made a few friends ( and a few Enemies, ... You know who you are ! ;) ) have been shown
Great Understanding and Patience from Many ( During my mad ranting years), Forgivness ( During my "Throwing
my toys out of the pram, and storming off" moments ;% ) and Generosity for many items that I've been sent from
Members ( Although I could do with LESS of the used underwear, Guys ! :D ).
Also agree with the praise for our magnificent mods {[] , working away in the background, Keeping AJB safe, and
clean of, Trolls and spam, .. or so they say .... :v , Although I do miss those Chines escort Girls. :#
I think the one great thing about AJB, is its sence of fun and almost irreverent love for Bond. Meaning that most
discussions even on a serious Point, have a " Tongue in cheek" attitude -{, In my mind we're all sitting in a pub
round a table talking Bond ( Or Boll*cks ) whichever doesn't really matter, In many ways I feel that as well as being
a fan of Bond, AJB is a great social club.
With some threads I've learnt ...... How to Pee in a Bucket in Norway, what colour of trainers, are just NOT acceptable !
why Guns can't be stabilized and why I still keep getting blackballed from the Misty eyed fan club . ;)
It might be different for others living in cities etc, as you may get to meet people with an interest in Bond, but where I
live it was ME!, THATS IT ! So finding a place to chat with other fans, was such a fantsstic find for me.
So yes, here's a Big Thank-You to AJB, its Mods and many Members, all of whom brighten my day, every day. {[]

I would just like to thank all those who help run this site and all the members who contribute to the threads - when I joined last year I thought I was the world's topmost authority on 007 but it has certainly been an eye opener learning that a lot of people here live drink and breathe Bond every day. I would never have believed that so many can watch the films time and time again and know so much about them. I dip in here on a daily basis, time permitting, and always enjoy reading the comments, it's like being part of a giant sized family {[]
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

I think we all thought we knew Bond until joining AJB, then quickly realised we actually
knew very little compared to the experts here. Some seem to have devoted their lives to
one aspect of the films or books. So there's a great wealth of knowledge , as well as a sense
of humour. I like the "family" comparison, as I've always thought of Higgins as one big MOTHER ! :p
Seriously any forum is only as good as the people who run it and the people who contribute, luckily
AJB has the best of both. {[]

I'm not a prolific poster on AJB, but nonetheless this site has been my 'Bond home' for over ten years now. Always a good place to have a chat about Bond, I can hardly imagine life without my daily visits to the forum.

Apart from the prolific poster part (I do rabbit on a bit), I'm with every word of that. A big thank you to our absentee landlord SiCo for setting this place up!

I only know AJB ,ive never visited any other BOND related sites ,Ive learnt a lot here in my few short years of membership ,things ,shall we say that separate the educated from the uneducated for instance in bars ,restaurants ,holidays ect .
My spelling has improved and thanks to number 24 ,I hope my grammar :)) ,not because im stupid ,but ive never had to write much since I left school apart from the odd statement or two :D .The knowledge here is staggering ,all the guys and girls here are fantastic ,it never gets out of hand ,Sir Miles and Barbel do a marvelous job in keeping us all in line (not that they need to do often I hasten to add ) and we all stick to the rules and take their adjudication in an adult way . SICO has done a great job in making AJB the best Bond site in the world ,and he does this all for free in his spare time .There are some great characters here , with all levels
knowledge wit comedy ,ect and would be unfair to name you all ,but I enjoy your company ,and due to geographical reasons ,sadly we will never meet.,But I thank you all ,and you all have a special place in my life
love to you all Always shaken
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?
