Okay, seems like a good spot to ask about this:

I have seen a couple of the masks with valves, but the valve was black. Do we know if one with a white valve really existed or did the production possibly paint it for appearance' sake?

Alan, Yes. It is indeed a VOIT mask with the white purge valve. ---Ed
