Apparently, and I stand to be corrected on this, the young James Stewart was told "we already have a Jimmy Stewart" by Equity so picked his grandmother's maiden name to become Stewart Granger. He was still called Jimmy by those who knew him, which included Ian Fleming who mentioned "Jimmy Stewart" as a possible Bond- meaning Granger, not the star of "Vertigo" etc- which has caused some confusion latterly.
This is great news and all, but I hope that Anthony Horowitz can reach up to Fleming's classic works of great spy novels. Hopefully this new novel will be a fantastic addition to the franchise. )
Horowitz when asked about a female James Bond, quickly answered that she
