I have nothing against 'Trigger Mortis' although my idea of calling it 'Spector' would have been far more devilishly delicious :v . I think it would be hilarious if the much-maligned cigarette sucking line was from Fleming's unpublished work and not written by Horowitz at all!
but i do think this could be a spectre origin story
e an Author to write 15 new Bonds Novels, I can't see it happening sadly.
If Higgons wrote 5 young Bond, then someone could at least do 5 in a row, and i think John Gardner wrote either 14 or 15 books, in fact he probably has more pages or word count than Fleming himself. My novel series is heavily inspired by bond, i think i could do that many
Gardner wrote 16 Novels (Two of them were Novelizations)
1.On Her Majesties Secret Service 2.The Living Daylights 3.license To Kill 4.The Spy Who Loved Me 5.Goldfinger

Hopefully your novel series also features proper punctuation and capitalization.

Alright grammar Nazi for your information it is called shorthand. Even Sherlock Holmes doesn't bother with grammar or punctuation when on a chat board or texting, nor is there any logical reason to do so 8-) . Any writer should tell you the same.
My one disappointment thus far is the UK cover art.
I didn't comment yesterday because I wanted it to sink in but having reflected on it, although it is interesting, I think it lacks impact and is'nt Bondonian.
When I look I don't feel the emotional connection that you get with great cover art.
When I compare it to Chopping or Hawkey's work or even the JC Solo hardback (although the book was dire) the Trigger Mortis art doesn't resonate in the same way.
I hope there is a special edition with Bentley - if Horowitz features the marque.
I recently bought the Bentley edition of 'Casino Royale' and it is absolutely a work of art.
Special editions are, in my opinion, essential in this digital age.
FYI, there is some interesting TM plot detail on the U.S. Amazon site.
I know we have to wait until we get to read TM, but my gut reaction to the
art work. With a Rocket design is to compare it to Moonraker. still we'll
All know in a few months.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
I also immediately thought of MR when I saw the Cover

I thought of MR when I read of the plot involving rocketry in Trigger Mortis on The Book Bond blog. And that's a good thing in my book as MR is my favourite Bond novel! -{
"The tough man of the world. The Secret Agent. The man who was only a silhouette." - Ian Fleming, Moonraker (1955).
Ah yes, SMERSH will be in the Novel -{ Despite being disbanded at the Time of TB, I wonder if the Organizations Liquidation will be explained in more Detail in TM?
Also, the Novel is available for Pre-Order from Amazon (UK)
1.On Her Majesties Secret Service 2.The Living Daylights 3.license To Kill 4.The Spy Who Loved Me 5.Goldfinger
I just hope it doesn't prove to be more Trigger from only fools & horses rather than Trigger Mortis.
Bond you plonker!

Regarding the title Trigger Mortis we have to remember that 'Trigger Finger' was an early title for Ian Fleming's 'The Living Daylights', which of course starred a female assassin called "Trigger". -{ -{

Yes, I noticed that! It seems to be on the hardback inside cover of the UK edition too. -{
It really is! )
dum-dum-da...
Anthony Horowitz!
Bond you plonker!
This is a nice touch in an otherwise uninspiring artwork. I took it to be a homage to Chopping's skull on the original JC Goldfinger hardback.
