Casino Royale Armani Replica

Hi
I currently own one of the Casino Royale Armani jackets albeit not in my correct size, I am currently speaking with a couple of companies about trying to source the correct type and colour of leather, then have a correct replica made, firstly a prototype but wondering how many people would be interested in a good quality replica. As most I have seen have been poor at best or look nothing like the original
To me it's still one of the best Daniel Craig bond era jackets.
Thanks
Ross

Yes! But it would have to be really close. Like, next-level accurate. Color and texture are key. I have the Wested and it just didn't work.

Hi Ross I would be interested. Especially since you have an original to base the replica on

Yeah I would like to see a decent replica of this made.

I've purchased Daniel's QoS jackets this year and have been impressed with them, I'd certainly be interested in a decent replica of the Casino Royale jacket if it's of similar quality.

Before I got the correct one I had looked at a number of replica's and they all just came came up short, so far I have still not got a leather I am happy with but if there is enough interest I would be willing to fund maybe getting 100 made.
I will keep people informed when I get a leather I am happy with

    Good luck Ross

I would be interested (having owned the real thing but it being too small)

Every replica I have seen is way off the mark, the leather being wrong and simple not fitted.

The lambskin is sooooo soft and luxurious on the real thing - absolutely gorgeous

I might be interested as well.

I recall reading that Armani sold the jackets to Eon for around $600 each. I'd guess a quality reproduction would be around that?

You should try Bill Kelso for a reproduction

I'd definitely be in for one Ross

I have the Wested replica and it just isn't right.

    Good luck with the project

Very curious about this project… agreed that it is a unique piece that would be welcomed in the community.. So based on price I would possibly be in as well..

Well hopefully I will be able to come up with something that looks like the real thing and for as cheap as possible and it will let other from the community benefit from it too.
I will update this as I get the correct stuff, correct leather, then a prototype I am happy with.

If you have an original.. I for one would be really interested in seeing some details photos of the actual thing… Anyone with one willing to snap a few pics and share in this thread ?

Be careful about replicas - you only get what you pay for. If you want a decent Armani leather jacket replica then expect it not to be cheap. Anything else is false economy.

No one has mentioned Magnoli's version - any opinions would be appreciated

All depends on getting the right fit by providing tailored measurements. I am pleased with mine, went for the softer distressed leather and v short waist length... Pretty good imo.... But a quality replica based on the real thing with 2 inch chest variation sizing will be grrrrreat...

I agree... I'm pleased with the fit of mine but would definitely go for a replica made from top quality materials.

Well let's see what happens, I've send a load of photos to a company to see if they could produce an accurate copy once I am happy with the leather choice. I have seen some of there work previously any it has been pretty good.
Although I want to an accurate company and one made as cheap as it can be, I would like to state I still want it to be accurate, otherwise the whole thing would be pointless. I have had information that the leather from the actual armani Jacket came from India.
I am not doing it as a business so unlike some of the other company's I don't have to make a profit which would make it more expensive again. This is a hobby rather than a Job :)
Don't get me wrong some of the companies that make replica's are great and without them there are some pieces we would never end up having and love a lot of the stuff the likes of Indy does and own a number of the items he sells.

Here is my old one which didn't fit (gutted is an understatement). I have now had the TF QoS Harrington and Armani CR Jacket both in the wrong size, close but no cigar :(

    Needs more pockets. :p

Not a fan of the Indy-esque jackets.

welshboy78, the picture shows some detailing I never noticed before around the zipper and hem. Also, the pleated pockets look almost unstructured. No doubt due to the very soft leather. The real thing looks much nicer than the picture of the various replicas.

Yes all the replicas I have seen seem to miss the fine details and the leather does not seem right somehow.

I know I have already said this but I cannot emphasise how soft the leather is on this jacket - very luxurious!!!

Seriously, contact Bill Kelso. They do reproductions using high quality Italian leather.

Im not familiar with Bill Kelso but taking a quick look at the website shows their lambskin looks pretty good leather wise, it has that very soft grainy look which others don't seem to have which I'm guess comes down to quality. I guess thats the kind of quality that would be required to approximate / match the Armani if the pics are accurate

e.g. Bill Kelso Picture of a Lambskin Jacket (the lambskin looks very soft and has that grain, I'm no expert at this kind of thing but it nearly looks quite a nice match)

I dont want to unfairly name names but if you look at the pics on the website of one of the better know Armani Replica's you can see the difference in lambskin quality is night and day, little grain, looks rigid / not butter soft
