Update: I have just been told that sample has been completed and the quality assurance department are checking it against all the photos and details requested. I have said so far there is about 20 people interested so far, I am going to discuss with them the price once I have the sample in my hand and see what can be done in that respect too.
I will supposedly get photos once they have checked it as a bit of a teaser until in arrives in hand.
    Thanks again

I'd be interested in one as well depending on how it comes out and what not. Have they given you a breakdown of coat based on quantity ordered?

Did you receive the prototype yet? I can't wait to see the pictures!

Not yet, I did get another company to make me some prototype sample of the Tom Ford Jacket from spectre in Suede but I only had the one photo mantis originally posted, as them to make a number of corrections in the details. The colour of the suede was also a little to bright.

Wow! I would definitely be interested in that jacket as well depending on quality and price. Hope you are able to share pictures of both jackets soon!

    Hi
All just an update, I have now at least seen some photos of the prototype and it actually looks pretty good, all the seams join up where they should all the panels and stitching finished correctly, leather covered studs as per the original. One of two thing I might have to get changed for a second prototype but overall I'm pretty happy with the first sample, will put some of my own photos up once it arrives
Thanks for all your interest so far.

Awesomo 4000! Will you be offering any replicas the identical size to your original size 54?

Yes I will be able to get others made in any size people require. I am hoping to do a run of about 50 of them depending on interest.
I am pretty happy with the first prototype but I will wait until I have it in hand them probably get a 2nd prototype made, the last thing I want is to pay out £1000's and them to get it wrong.
Just waiting to get the jacket in hand to make sure I am happy with all the small details.

    Good stuff Ross

Guess since you own an original (though wrong colour) you are in prime position to directly compare detailing and fit etc

    Hi
A couple of little things I will get sorted in the 2nd prototype but it's just to do with spacing.

Ok decided to put the rest of the photos I have so far up. There are a number of changed I will get amended in sample 2.
One thing is the pocket placement it needs to move down further towards the bottom of the jacket and also move in nearer to the zip.
The next thing I will have amended in sample 2 is the zip I need to find a better alternative. I requested it in gunmetal but the one fitted on this is not right. I have been looking at the possibility of getting a zip pull made but this will depend on the cost.
The other thing is the shape of the pocket flaps, maybe just soften the point a little.
One of the big parts where the copies of this jacket go wrong it the pocket, it looks to neat and structured at the moment with the V shape this needs to be sorted a little to make it a bit baggier like the other versions.
I have had a couple of people give some help. I have recieved a couple of photos of the screen used version and also had a very kind Abj member buy the Costume Card and have it sent to me so I can make sure the colour is correct too.
Any feedback thought or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

The measurements currently shown are made to measure to fit me for the first sample.

    Thanks
    Ross

    Morning Ross

Just a thought on sizing. Understand you going for a made to measure. But is it worthwhile basing the run on an original, if that is tagged as a L for example, it would be relatively simple to down / up the other sizes to make the run accurate in dizing to the originals ???

Will leave the detail feedback to others as dont have an original.... Good luck !!!

    The sizing of the original was 48, 50, 52, 54, 56 etc.
The only issue with the is basing it purely on the off the shelf jacket, it would not look SA. The off the shelf jackets arms appear very baggy and I believe like most Bond Screen Used clothing had all been tailored.

I believe when I sold mine the buyer had Armani tailor the jacket which they willingly obliged

When I get a chance I'll throw some photos of mine up so you can see what I mean. Albeit mine is the lighter brown version they will see it needs a couple of nips and tucks to be right.

But I do want feedback so the jacket is made right for everyone.

So the replica will have narrower arms/higher armholes than the off the rack original?

You are right Ross, the pockets are where the replicas fall short. The bagginess of the Armani pockets is what gives the jacket its charm.
