Hi all does anyone know the rough value of one of these?

I'd say $150 is a fair expectation… They have sold anywhere from right under $100 to over $250 on ebay for the last few months… But regularly sell at $150

IMO the price for this particular model depends widely on the variant.

The one with all weapons (1st) certainly won't go for 150,--

Here's one that sold a few months back in mint condition (with gadgets) for $150

Yet there were a few others sold in the last months with the gadgets around the $250 mark... in the end it's hard to wire down an exact expectation.. The one that went for $150 took 13 bids.. The ones for higher prices were done under a Buy It Now option..

one lucky shot on ebay does not determine a general price level.

I still stand with the statement that the one with the gadgets and roof is more worth than 150,--

I wasn't sure I followed your previous post so thanks for the clarification.
I don't track these that closely since: 1) I already have all the AUTOart pieces and 2) they're frankly too recent to bother tracking price history.
Still, I've been watching them enough to say generally they're in the USD $150 arena; again, it's one of those things where if someone uses just the right words in the title and/or description they'll do better: I've seen them hit $450 but, again, I consider those as exceptions.

"Worth" and how much a person can get sometimes just don't match up as we would hope.. (pretty much how any auction goes though).. Some folks do just luck out and are able to snag them at lower prices... There was another that sold even more recently with all the gadgets even cheaper for only $100, but didn't have the box...

I guess what I should have asked was are you looking to sell it ? (which I assumed) And if so, my reply was aimed at just giving you a general idea as to what you may expect.. Better err on the side of low expectations as opposed to listing it in hopes of a winning bid for what a collector speculates it may be "worth" as opposed as to what the market is willing to pay that particular week.. Ebay is wonky like that... collectibles will go for outrageous prices for a streak.. Then a month or so later the same items take no bids..

    I disagree,

if someone asks for a value for a certain item, it does not make sense to give him the lowest possible price on ebay.
I am an ebay member since more than a decade and believe me, I know several factors that push prices there or lead to steals compared to the usual collector's value. These steals don't really reflect the "worth" value.

So telling him these absolutely lows may lead him to sell it too cheaply in a private deal.

Prices for collectibles are supply and demand and thus very variable.
My main key was to emphasize that there was a higher desirable model (with gadgets) and some lower desirables.

MFisher gave a range -- generally $150 with an occasional high of $250 -- with which I agreed. I said I've seen $450. No one is suggesting he sell it for $150 only that he ought not to necessarily expect the high end.

All too often I've seen something sell for some outrageous sum on eBay, decide I should scramble and sell mine while the market was apparently hot, only to achieve maybe 25% of the prior listing.

A similar example in the very same vein is the Danbury Mint DB5: I've sold them for as much as $300 but the fact is they generally don't do a whole lot better than the original retail at around $150 (granted, again, all over the place, particularly depending on whether paperwork is present, etc. but, still, very similar outlook).
