Club Monaco has a 30% off Promo Code good through 12/14: SALEONSALE

With promo the cardigan is $83.30.

Dang. If I waited I could have had 3 for the total I paid for two between Mr. Porter and Club Monaco online. I might have to try one of the other colors.

Found this place for leather buttons: bennosbuttons.com
If anyone know of anything better please do post about it.

Try again before the end of the 14th in case they are restocked. Otherwise, are you near a Club Monaco store?

I ordered the Club Monaco. I'm not a sweater person, so we'll see how it goes.

I'll check online again before the 15th. I live in Alaska and we do not have Club Monacos up here yet, which I'm okay with, because anything new here quickly saturates the market and people start looking the same everywhere you go.

Well I am wearing my Monaco today.

Intital impressions - quite thin compared to my Tom Ford however prob a good thing as I wanted a lighter Shawl for knocking about with.

Was a little concerned when I saw it was made in China however it fits well and appears ok quality wise - will wear it today and see how it goes comfort wise!!!!

EDIT: Just noticed the elbow patches don't line up very well with my elbows 8-)

My Monaco is waiting at the local post office for pick up on Monday. I will take care to see how the elbow patches line up with my elbows since my arms are long (thanks for that info Welshboy).

I picked up the sweater today. It fits quite nicely. I can't comment on its thickness, but since I overheat easily and live in California, a thinner sweater is better. I'm reserving judgement on the elbow patches. They are subtle looking enough, but I'm wondering how well they line up with my elbows. (Thanks for putting that thought in my mind Welshboy. :p ) I feel like they should be shifted forward a bit, maybe a centimeter. But I've never owned a piece of clothing with elbow patches before.

So the cardigan cost me $90 overall. I think it's well worth that price. It may still be returned since I rarely wear sweaters. Too warm for me. I gave all my sweaters to Goodwill a few years ago.

Club Monoco arrived today in black (both of them) from the U.S. I have to say first impressions is that apart from the buttons (easily swapped out) it's a dramn good match visually (I actually like the elbow pads as I work from home and elbows are usually the first areas to wear out). It's not the thickest for sure but then as a cardi to be worn in hitter climes I think it is fine.

Fully recomend this cardigan (not sure which size to keep yet but one may be up for grabs at some point)

    Seasons good wishes to all!

    Cheers :007)

Mine arrived this morning and I must say very nice; soft wool and fitted not loose. For $91.00 shipped and delivered (£58.58) it's a bargain. I went for the XL and with a white shirt underneath it's a very good match for the TF. Elbow pads fit over my elbows nicely and will help with wear and bagginess.
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!

I'm sorry to hear about the elbow patches not lining up for some people. Mine are perfect for me height wise and sit center on the back of the sleeves. I'm not sure what I was expecting as far as warmth from the sweater but I like where it's at. Warm enough to wear with a button up in the 30s but not so warm I cannot where it indoors as well. I'm pretty happy with it.

Don''t get me wrong, I like the sweater. It looks great. But I'm not sure whether I would actually get much opportunity to wear it. I'll have to try it on again to decide whether to keep it or return it on Monday. Unfortunately a broken tooth may require me to return it for the money. I'll certainly have to forego the Shanghai peacoat. :#

Hope you can keep it, I'm very happy with mine, wore it the other day (with no coat) and while it's quite cold here at the moment it was warm enough for short ventures outside and not too warm whilst indoors!
I have a couple of other shawl collar cardigans (Ralph Lauren and Edinburgh Woollen Mill -both blue and a little too baggy).
Will look at swapping buttons for more SA ones but overall considering the cost of this I'm delighted.

Edited to add: now the large is gone.

I tried on the cardigan again. Damn it was nice. But I had to return it. :( Maybe next year.
