Just bought the last Torchwood series " Miracle day" on Google play
It was only £6 for the HD version. -{ , watched most of it when it was
Shown, but due to work etc missed big chuncks of it. Looking forward
To it. {[]
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
As it's Sunday morning, I'm getting my fill of The Avengers on
" True Drama". -{ Steed and Mrs Peel, what a class act. {[]
Ah...The Avengers. I'd forgotten about that show. One of my favorites. Unfortunately, I'm on the wrong side of the pond to get that programming. I'm sure I could track it down on DVD through inter-library loan. I'll have to check tomorrow.
I even enjoyed the mid-70's reboot due to the Mike Gambit character.
The late 90's movie, however, was a disaster even with the top billed cast of Fiennes, Thurman and Connery. Not even Connery could pull off lines like "Now is the Wynter of your discontent" outside of Stratford on Avon. Note that this is coming from someone who, when asked "If you could have a conversation with anyone alive or dead, who would it be?" the answer is always Sir Sean Connery.
My second choice would be Groucho Marx as long as I wasn't late because I like my furniture and have no desire to see the man naked.
Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog is too dark to read. - Groucho Marx
On modern TV , after watching Hannibal. I've now started to watch
Dexter, only three episodes in but it looks fun. -{
I hope you have a better experience than I did. My wife was a fan of Dexter and I tried to watch it with her. I caught up at the end of the first season and got through about halfway through the second season before I just lost interest.
Note to television producers in the US, please stop dragging out the nonsense and get on with the story. I'd rather watch one or two seasons of well done storyline than sit through seven or eight seasons of crap just so they can fit in more tampon and mcdonalds commercials.

One of the things I've noticed, as I watch these on Netflix, is the
Running time. Most shows are 40 minutes where Dexter comes in at
55 minutes, so am I correct in thinking that when aired on TV. Dexter
Ran for over an hour with ad breaks. Three episodes in, and I was a bit
Disappointed in it, so I may not make it through the first season. )

The first season is one of the best so if you don't enjoy it you are unlikely to enjoy the rest. Season four is the peak of the series and from there it goes downhill fast getting progressively worse as the seasons go on. Five is kind of enjoyable, six has some interesting moment and seven and eight were a huge waste of my time and a disappointment.
"Mango, banana and tangerine. Sugar and ackee and cocoa bean!"
Ive just done 2 weeks in the Balearics,(Spain) and due to the heat at night ,it was still 28+ at 9pm ,I thought I would grab some Sky/cable/satellite Tv in .They are showing the same old rubbish ,the same old rubbish adverts,as we have over here. With over 600 channels to go through ,its still all adverts and repeats .Is it me ,or do all the tv companies have an agreement ,to put the adverts on at the same time , 8-) I hate adverts.
The great British bake off, is back, ( second week ) tonight. {[]
Every series has some sort of scandal, this year ...... Apparently
One of the amateur bakers is really a professional. )
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
It's not for the faint hearted...but Wentworth Miller is not hard on the eyes :x
A great start...just not sure how they can stretch it out over 4 (I think) series...but looking fwd to seeing how they do it.
Series one is excellent.
Every episode ending on a cliffhanger.
Hope you enjoy watching it -{
This is really an excellent series... it was super grim to begin with, but it's now taken shape... and the characters are really getting interesting. Lincoln is my most irritating character... with t-bag being one of my favourites... he plays it so well!
I'm seriously hooked.... and it's not doing my days off much favour )

Glad you are enjoying Prison Break Lexi.
I became hooked when I started watching it. Lots of great twists and cliffhangers. I think it is showing on Netflix and because of it's success they are going to do a fifth season, which I will be looking out for.
Yes T-Bag is a brilliant character -{

Never miss The Great British Bake Off, love it!
I remember last year one of the bakers was doing some design work for the company I work for and I turned a corner and bumped right into him. I recognised him straight away and trying not to look too awe struck had a good chat with him about the show and how to make the perfect strawberry cheescake. He ended up making the final three but just missed out on winning the competition.
Glad you are enjoying Prison Break Lexi.

It really is quite excellent... although seeing them back to back is a must, I don't know how long I would have dragged it out if I had to wait a week between each episode. I think the Sona story lines are superb, and although it's completely outlandish (I mean, when does anyone eat or sleep??? ) ) it's kinda plausible too.
Not sure what I'm going to watch next, once I'm done.

Watching " Who do you think you are" last night my wife fell even
Deeper in love with Paul Hollywood, on seeing him on his motorbike ! )
Sadly only caught the last episode of this last night. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b065wp7m
The Javone Prince show. He's really funny ) some of his
Sketches were hilarious, like ....
The Rat pack singing some of the new, rather rude rap songs, but in
their easy listening style.
Also a very polite inner city gang.

For those who have seen it on Netflix, is it any good?

Very few adverts. ( I'm sure this will change, eventually )
Working my way through the rest.

The Great British Sewing Bee
Even though I doubt, I was the targeted viewer they
Had in mind. )
Just caught up on the the first two episodes.
Bloody brilliant.Love this show.
God knows what the BBC where thinking when they 'axed' it. Good job Amazon picked it up.

The new BBC version of lady Chatterley's lover, is practically porn !
Must view all the episodes to see how offended, I can be. )
This looks interesting " The man in the high Castle" a what if the Allies had lost the war ?
Wow--I read the book ages ago, and I'd like to see this. I don't have Amazon Prime, though. . .
love these " what if" type stories. Like SS-GB by Len Deighton. Which apparently
may be filmed by the bbc .
With script by Purvis and Wade
